Just like werewolves and vampires in Innistrad, I feel like making a Minotaur deck when Theros is online and curve it out at Kragma Warcaller. Oh, maybe cards like Mugging too just for the flavor.

Let's not forget we also has Mootavault to support the tribal.

God. Kragma Warcaller has possibly the worst art I've seen since I started playing MTG. Card in Rakdos colors? Make Blue Sky and Green Grass dominant! And then show pink pig, and call that fucking minotaur. For fuck's sake Wizards, you're giving me an eye cancer.

I've been saying BTE is horrible since I stopped playing gruul. She forces you to not run the best red two-drop ever.

And with that said...back to working on batman jund.
In a format with no flashback, Ashley loses a lot of her appeal.

I really want to like Ashley, I really do. The girl is great. She's hot. She cooks and cleans for you. She's totally down for whenever you want it, but there's just one thing. That girl wants a commitment. She's one of those girls who falls hard and she isn't going to just let you get away once she has you.

I don't know if I can handle that sort of pressure. That's why I keep running to Emmy. She's chill, good looking, and always brings friends. If you catch her on a good day, bring her sisters along with that extra friend. I've heard stories of where she's brought her 3 other sisters and a friend over for a night. Damn, that girl knows how to have fun.

I'm sorry Ashley, I like you, but I'm young and I want to have fun.

I've seen it once. My opponent was at 12 life. And didn't expected me to have exactly 3 Searing Spears in my hand when he flashbacked Azorius Charm to put Ash Zealot topdeck. Yes, I had 4 mana available.

T1 Steam Vents -> go
T1 Mountain -> Stromkirk Noble -> go
T2 untapped Glacial Fortress -> go
T2 Ash Zealot -> attack for 3 -> EoT Think Twice

I think that was a pretty common scenario last season, and while I know that that Think Twice wasn't going to be flashbacked with Zealot on the field, I think that the fact the opponent had to remove our sweet redhead before drawing a card was enough.

I've used her trigger a couple of times, mostly because opponents just forget about her second ability. Really, what makes Ashley better IMO is that she can do both offense and defense providing you with flexibility. She's a ride or die type of girl that will be there for support through the good times and the bad. Emmy wants to bring her posse and party, but once some arnold schwarzeneggar size niggas show up, here and her posse are gone quicker than a college boy after a one night stand.

4 Rakdos Cackler
4 Ash Zealot
4 Firefist Striker
4 Chandra's Phoenix
3 Stormbreath Dragon

Spells: 13
4 Magma Jet
4 Lightning Strike
2 Hammer of Purphoros
3 Chandra, Pyromaster

@valdarith: That 5 damage per turn potential. Still, why Hellion Crucible instead of Mutavault?
1) Nostalgia.
2) I'm waiting to be 100% certain what deck I'm going to run post-rotation before investing in Mutavaults.
3) I actually like the 4/4 body it provides. There's been a lot of times where the bigger body really helped out (red mirrors, G/W matchups).

It triggered for me a lot. Most memorable was at M14 Gameday where I had two on the field on turn three and my opponent EOT Think Twice flashback.

ME: (pointing at Ash Zealots) Six you?
HIM: FML I may as well scoop.
ME: *trollface*

Funniest part is that he's one of the strongest players in our area.

The Flashback thing rarely came into play, but it was often relevant because the opponent had to play around it.

My favorite AZ moment was when playing Dos Rakis against a Reanimator player who had played like 3 Tusk on me that I had to fight through. It was something like turn 20 but I had beat him down to 1 life and on topdeck mode against a field of 2 Ash Zealots. Dude topdecks a Unburial Rights, tells me how awesome his deck is, plays one on Thrags and gains 5 life then Flashes it back on another Tusk. I stop him and tell him to take 6.

You ever had a guy just stare at one of your cards like if he reads it enough times it'll say something different?

It was only a small 20-something person tournament, but it was at a shop I hadn't played at before and the dude had been cocky as hell about how bad his deck beat Red Aggro so it still felt pretty good.

I remember when I was facing that ridiculous [mana]G[/mana] Predator Ooze Kibler deck while I was on Dos Rakis. I had 3 Ash Zealots on the field and he had 2 Oozes sitting there getting bigger. I was at 10 with a Sever the Bloodline in the graveyard. Sometimes you have to take 9 and go for the win.

I killed a guy on stream with flashback triggers on stream once. But yeah, flashback ability not very relevant then. 2/2 haste, first strike? That's still the best red 2 drop ever lol.

Ok, I definitely need to be watching more games then. Turn 20? :grovel:

I got that look when I attacked with Falkenrath Aristocrat with two Knights of Infamy on the field. I'm going to really miss those two cards.

Well, something like turn 20... between turns 15 and 25.

Post board, though, that wasn't uncommon.

I don't understand why you'd need Anger in this archetype honestly.
Hedging, for now. Fury + Reckoner allows another way to deal with Desecration Demon, Blood Baron, and any other 4-6 toughness creatures that would otherwise take over the game. By the same logic, you can channel Fury through Reckoner to hit a planeswalker It's a 2-for-1 for them if they don't have anything else on the field for you to kill, but in most cases you can get parity if not relative card advantage.
Sorry, catching up on things, but just wanted to point out that you can't redirect from
Reckoner to Blood Baron because BBoV has pro-white.

For those that care about the lady situation:

The lady and I have worked things out; we talked and she apologized for what happened, she talked to the guy and told him she's staying with me. I haven't talked to the guy yet but I probably won't be able to stay friends with him, at least no to the extent we were before.
Grats, man. Glad to hear it worked out!

I always liked punishing noobs that played Lingering Souls while AZ was on the field. It's happened numerous times, but I think the most I've ever done was 6 damage.

Especially with 4 Mutavaults. :confused2: There will be a lot of people trying to force these types of curves for a while.

It's going for late game power, but it has no way to recoup lost life, and it will do a lot of damage to itself with Read the Bones, Thoughtseize, and Crypts. Read should be Magma Jet for the damage and the scry. And Hero's Downfall needs to be Doomblade. He has Dreadbore for killing Planeswalkers already.

It needs to be more focused on either red or black. As it is, it looks like a mess.
