I watched The Danish Girl last night, then had a long conversation with my wife about who the main character was. We really watched totally different movies since I was 100% into Alicia Vikander's character and saw the entire movie though her perspective (though I grudgingly agreed that was probably not the intention of the writer).

I haven't seen it and probably won't. It's not that I don't support transgender issues or anything like that. It's that I avoid boring movies, and that seems 100% like it will be a boring movie.

I mean, it doesn't have to be an action movie. I've seen plenty of dramas that weren't boring.
Most of them were not Oscar winners, so there is that working against it. A lot of BIG TIME OSCAR WINNING MOVIES are just boring as shit.

I didn't think it was boring. For me, it was a movie about mental illness and how different people cope with it. Lots of different perspectives and lots of social commentary pretty much kept the movie interesting throughout, assuming you're into that kind of thing.
... Now I feel like we're back to talking about Her all those months ago...
