Clan approved posters should be good?

I mean if they shady it up if we have their address they'll get the FoS beat down
we have to assume you won't be the only clan here forever.

I think that we actually might have an easier option if we wanted to get trades going. We could just create a community on deckbox.org (our cardtags are already linked there, so it seems like a good place). Anyone can make one, and they have a feedback system, so that would take care of the trust issue. DAE think this is a good idea?

I'd be fine with 1,000, but that's pretty steep so if the majority wants 500 I'm down for that I s'pose.

I like the idea of having a post limit - 1000 is much too high, and even 500 is pushing it. For most people, it takes a very long span of time to amass that. 100 posts might be more reasonable - still enough to deter lazy rippers to find a site with no post limit (such as Sally), but pulls in the large majority of casual members who don't post on a daily basis.

The sample trading rules are ok, but could use some refining.

Could you refine them for us? You are the resident lawyer, after all. ;)

So, Kaze got 200 posts in 21 days, and I feel like I barely know him. (Of course, I don't read FoS, which is where I imagine he got most of them.) Based on that, I don't
think 500 is too much. I don't think a couple of months dedication is too much to ask.

A question, though, that I think we should know the answer to, is how many people would actually trade on-site if the option was available? Can an admin add a poll to this thread, so we can find out? I don't appear to be able to.

Keep in mind that people who post as much as we do are the exception, not the rule. If you've taken a stroll down Market street, there are an awful lot of people there who don't post very much (but are still legit traders).

I could certainly revise the trading rules.

It's not too much to ask. The problem is that many people in the
entitlement generation don't want to be asked to do anything at all.

I wouldn't expect you to understand, Spam.

1000 posts probably doesn't look like a lot to the guy who makes a minimum of 3-4 posts per thought...

I can't help but notice that all the people for the high post requirement already meet that requirement.

But, regardless, I fail to see the correlation between post count and personal integrity, and that's what bugs me about the proposition. I feel like the vouch system would work with a bit of tweaking. It would deter random rippers from exploiting people, while allowing those with credibility to trade. The vouchers could be designated. Staff, clan leaders, things like that. Tweaking and such. I'm not so good with specifics.

Ah, looks like I still care about this topic a bit, after all.

This post count rule only applies to creating a trade thread, correct?

I'll just be sticking to clan trades for now anyway, but I can't see how post count correlates to reliability. Like, what's the difference between my 250 now and the 500 posts I'll have eventually?
