I also played the Championship Qualifier 6592242, and manage too qualify in my first try I'll post those games tomorrow - that said my G3 during the qualifier was extremely tilt worthy, R1 I lose (after he was on death bed) because I don't see a removal, R2: i crush him and R3: same reason.
Thus I'm really temped in running the 4th chain MD now, but I'll settle with swapping Selfies for Warleader Helix...

MDU, how about -1 SBD -1 Mountain for +1 Chains and +1 to your liking (FDS, Selfie, back to LI). I goofed around last week and played dega control with warleader helix and they always felt like a huge bomb on a little target to me.

@MDU Good job, no more stressing necessary! You can keep playing in the CQs for fun right?
How were the Selfies overall? I like the idea of 2 Helix's main, but would always be afraid of getting too top heavy post board.

@MDU, I saw her once all night and she was in a hand I mulliganed because it was 2 land, dragon x2, assemble, elspeth, and Chandra. However, I did see Chandra a few times and she was definitely helpful. In the situations I drew her, she would have been more beneficial than a chained or a firedrinker.

Is this deck a slightly better call for the environment than Rw Devotion? I've been playing Rw devotion a while with great results but I've enjoyed watching MDU's latest videos.

Yep, the more spots I steal the easier the finals will be

Selfies are great (most of the time) I win most of my games via fliers so having extra is great - vs removal heavy list however, Helix maybe better because its much harder to stop a spell then
it is a creature.

No, Rw Devotion is really powerful - no other T1 deck in the format can produce the same amount of burst damage (it wins many events for a reason). I prefer more control over beatdown/burst so its a matter of preference then deck ability

Hi there guys. Took a break from MTG since this season was Limited and Dailies were not available and now planning on going back. Looking at the decklists from the alst few pages, it seems Skyknights are the new boys in the town, at least according to MDU.
Seems like about 20 creatures are the optimal amount, with Boros Reckoner relegated to SB (which I assume is mainly a MTGO meta decisison, since i can't really fathom going to a normal tourney with the hordes of aggro players having Reckoner in the board). Correct?
Number of Chandra copies seems to have been reduced from 3 to 2. I admit, there were times when I wished I had drawn another card, so this seems like a reasonable choice.
SB seems varied as always, 2 points there - Glare of Heresy and Skullcrack. Saw the discussion on GoH, just wanted to now if you guys consider these essential now.
Warleader's Helix - useful in any way now? Was good at the start of the new season and rapidly lost it's power with each passing week.
And the last question - as you can see from my decklist, I wasn't playing with 1 drops in dailies when I took the break. Once again - considered essential now?
I don't have any real input right now, since all the tournies here were modern in preparation for GP Prague (modern), so I haven't attended one. Since I used MTGO mainly as a testing ground for paper tournies (and it tremendously helped, I've began scoring much higher since I started playing) I just wanted the opinions of those more acquitainted to how things are now. Either way, thanks for reading and even more thanks for any reaction.

Hmmm define normal tourney? If you mean FNM then maybe but for PTQ or higher control and Bx will just laugh at your Reckoner (online during DE I'll argue Reckoner MD is better esp. if you have an >1800 rating).
Helix is weak, but it better then MD Boros Charm if your looking for away to inflict 4 damage MD, GoH is good vs Esper Aggro and UW Control which is a thing, SC is good vs Bx devotion which we all know is a thing, that deck which you went 3-1 with looks solid vs an
aggressive meta (I really like the choices you made, well done) I think you'll should be able to gain a finish in most DE or PE but you forfeit your G1 vs Control or Bx Devotion.
Sideboard 15
1 Chained to the Rocks
1 Assemble the Legion
2 Glare of Heresy
2 Mizzium Mortars
3 Boros Reckoner
2 Skullcrack
2 Boros Charm
2 Last Breath[/deck]
Today and had a clean sweep beating Bg Devotion, Rw Devotion and Gr Devotion - I'm liking the Warleader's Helix MD (I'll post the games tomorrow).

Ok abandoning an Rakdos for a moment till we have scrylands. Am interested in this version you are playing mdu. Can you explain to me why Skyknight legionaire is so good?

Because you can only run 4x Phoenix.

At MDU, didn't notice that... will think about how to fix it.
WLH was great tonight when I could cast it.
Went 2-1 with wins against Dega control (2-0) and R/g Devo (2-1). Lost to B/w control (0-2) because Obzedat on curve both games while I struggle with lands.

@Johnny_Spike: you board in Warleader's Helix vs everything - why isn't it MD?
Lazerburn asked me the same question, but my reason for keeping [card]Warleader's Helix[/card] in the sideboard is because it feels like cards 61 and 62. I could possibly see putting it in over Chandra because I wanted Chandra for falter + card draw, but Helix would just out right kill many things I'm having problems with. If my meta becomes any heavier in red (I was surprised Wednesday) I could definitely see -2 Chandra for +2 Warleader's Helix main board.
Played 4 events with my new build, finished all in cash. 3-1 Daily, 4-1 Championships (Qualified for them in first try !), 3-4 Premier and 4-1 R&D Challenge. Recording all and hope to get some feedbacks how to improve deck to fight field.

What would your build be Pedros? Also it great it have another DtR member in the finals
EDIT: never mind I found it, its a Pyro list (you should post it in the pyro thread, we really need to keep the list separate) its a shame you had to face another DtR member during the CQ for the finals (Clemens268 = dauntless268).
P.S. Don't give up dauntless268 going 3-2 = 5 boosters which you can sell for $15 and try again

I think that you should note that you played all these events at the same time Pedros I can't manage to concentrate on 1 game, let alone 4

It amuses me that pedros
once said I have more time to play, even though I barely can get in one DE. That said its really good to have an active Event grinder, we can get much better data that way and promote the archetypes when/if the builds get listed on the mothership.
Right I'm back with Big Boros for the weekend - aiming to get at least 4 DE in

Welcome to my current struggle
Selfie are better when they stick for 2 turns (Ux Devo, Gx Devo and Rx Devo)
Helix is decent in every MU except Ux Devotion because of those darn Owls... the cc is also a hurdle, but your almost
always going to get your bang for your buck unlike selfie.
Which is better? I dunno, I'm testing Helix for now.

PyroRakis is not for me. I'm coming home to Big Boros. Going to have to dig through lists and find a current build that can attack my meta.

Is it good enough to update the primer?

Perhaps we don't need it in the MD and follow this logic:
My reason for keeping [card]Warleader's Helix[/card] in the sideboard is because it feels like cards 61 and 62. I
could possibly see putting it in over Chandra because I wanted Chandra for falter + card draw, but Helix would just out right kill many things I'm having problems with. Running by that logic - Selfie are better G1 when removals are limited, G2+G3 when we know what the Opp. we can bring in Helix which is decent against everything but never great (in my list I'll cut Skullcrack for them).
- - - - - - - - -
That said I entered an SE just now with my Helix MD list and went 3-0 beating rujasu from Sally running the mirror, Esper Control and Wb Humans (which I thought was Esper Aggro for the G1-2)

I'll add the list you're taking to the championship (after the championship if you prefer).
Edit: Forget My decklist, I'm just going to play MDU's. After going through the SB plan, I realized Shock is no longer needed, and that was the main difference between our lists.

Show up tonight to FNM and found out my meta shifted to UW and Esper control with some Red decks. Tried out PyroRakis but deck just wouldn't come together. Got really close to winning a few matches but ended up short with not having the last few points of burn and top decking Gates. Gates could have been scrylands which would have filtered enough to get me the last piece of burn.
Missed having a top ender to just close out the games. Ol' Stormy just does it and Exava couldn't cut it here. Going to have to try MDU's list. Looks absolutely solid.
Sideboard
4 Thoughtseize
3 Slaughter Games
2 Rakdos's Return
2 Doom Blade

I see I'm being followed...
Tbh, it was a very frustrating event. I ran a modified version of my PyroHelix build w 6 one-drops, 3 YP and 3 Stormbreath. Went 3-0, beating guys like SMDtster on the way, then 1-0 only to proceed to loose 2 games against BG devotion with the guy twice blowing up my chains... And then 0-2 to Pedros...
Anyway, will have at least one more shot on the CQ this weekend. Truth of the matter, as much as I love YP$, the meta is really not favorable
for him right now.
Happy to see Warleader Helix continuing to get some credit MDU your list is very logical, just that personally I hate Guildgate so much ... only thing I don't see is why not 4 Chains. SO good against all Top 4 decks of the Meta... I would go +1 chains -1 Mortars MD

I'll add the list you're taking to the championship (after the championship if you prefer).
I think it is worth putting Dauntless's Helix build in the Primer as a variant too
May I also suggest putting all of MDU's video's in the Primer and updating the lists of 'Cards we want' etc I am thinking that ideally a newcomer should be able to read the Primer and then jump right into the thread rather than read the entire thing - the Pyro thread is like this. That said I realise it is time consuming

Btw MDU my list is neither pyro or big boros. I am running 3 pyro however I also run elspeth, dragons assemble and 25 lands plus purporos and reckoners 0o
Dont know where to post it
List send to Purp, will post one with videos when back from shop!
As for a time, i got first free day from work and school yesterday, and to not loose time I played 4 events, it happens that I had to play 3 games at the same time

I know I saw it, I'll describe as a midrange-combo-control deck.
Pyro has a huge element of small synergies, while most Pyro list are Aggro-Combo-Control your deck will
most likely fit in that area.
Its nice to see people working on the Red God Combo, I had a shot at it a while back in the Pyro thread but gave up on it...
VS R/x Devo
+1 C2R, +2 MM, +3 WLH, +3 BR, +2 GoH
-4 RC, -4 FDS, -2 C,P, -1 AZ
VS G/x Devo /

+1 C2R, +2 MM, +3 WLH, +3 BR
-4 RC, -4 FDS, -1 Chandra
VS BW Control
+3 WLH, +1 C2R, +2 MM, +2 AtL
-4 SBD, -2 Mountains, -2 MJ
Vs Esper Control
+2 WLH, +2 GoH, +1 MM
-3 C2R, -2 MJ

thanks again Johnny_Spike! I just 4-1ed a CQ and qualified for saturday with your exact 75. The only card I would want is one wear/tear(I would cut one helix) as I had to deal with whip plus dsphere against Esper humans, I managed to fight through it one game. My only loss coming to monoblue. I ended up playing esper humans as stated, G/R monsters, Red devotion, and b/w midrange.
