Mutavault is everything we wanted Hellion Crucible to be. You'll be gone but not forgotten old friend. We'll be losing quite a few stalwart performers:
- Stromkirk Noble
- Stonewright
- Hellrider
- Hellion Crucible

Viking burial time I think.

We'll need a 21 gun salute when Stonewright passes on.

I don't want to give up Falkenrath Aristocrat or Thundermaw Hellkite.

So, I'm having trouble deciding whether I want to play El Pyrehearto or le Phoenix on Friday.

I think with big Mudes in my deck, I'd want ole Wolfe.

I don't know why, but I'm really excited to be playing with Flames of the Firebrand again. Card is so good.

Yep, guy is a moron. After telling me that he didn't think I should have been infracted, he follows up by saying I should appeal even though we all know how that'll go.

We're a 1 drop short of the moment, but even post rotation we have:

1cc
Rakdos Cackler
Foundry Street Denizen
Legion Loyalist

2cc
Ash Zealot
Rakdos Shred-Freak
Gore-House Chainwalker
Burning Tree Emmissary
Goblin Shortcutter
Firefist Striker

3cc
Boros Reconer
Chandra's Phoenix
Mindsparker

With more if you splash Black or White (will depend on available fixing). So we've still got a pretty dense pool to draw from.

I'm testing 4 phoenix, 2 hound khaos and it's running well so far.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

Thank you for all the greetings!

Mindsparker seems to be a decent 3 drop. I wish it hated all spells though. He pairs well with Stonewright too.

I see Mindsparker's creeping up in price. Is it because it's good, or because it's just better than other options, I wonder?

Ughh...I think I have a concussion and several vertebrae out of whack...

We hit Cedar Park at gate opening this morning after two days at King's Island and a three-hour drive last night. My head and neck told me this morning that they were pretty much done with the abuse, but we had line-jumping passes for today so we managed to hit every major ride in the park. Both my daughter and I are done in, but it's been a blast; we ended the day by going from 0 to 120mph in 2 seconds on Top Thrill Dragster after they got it up and running (down much of the day). A truly epic close to the day! Since we hit everything we wanted to in the park today and are too battered to enjoy more, we're just going to bum around Lake Erie tomorrow and enjoy some good local food (had awesome local pizza tonight and got recommendations for tomorrow's fare from the great folks at the pizza joint).

As to Magic, we won't be back in time for
Friday night regrettably, but I'm leaning towards mono red (though I didn't pull a single Mutavault so I'll need cards to get it going). I will also likely build a few black-heavy lists to play with before rotation...B/W looks fun both on control and aggro fronts, and I will likely have to try a zombie list with all the new cards just for giggles.

Late birthday greetings to you, Oddjob!

It's very good against UW, but likely worse than the alternatives in other matchups; nonetheless it is possible that a 3 power first striker is well positioned in the meta anyway.

Mindsparker is likely a very good sideboard card for a variety of decks and nothing more. Shame because his states are great.

Lifebain zombie on the other hand is a house. He's like sin collector on steroids. Train leaving to value town. All aboard?

Stuck in four Mutavault. Took out a basic.

Imposing Sovereign + Thalia, Guardian of Thraben = Fuck you and your shit.

Blessing is killer. The extra toughness it adds is extremely relevant.
