Hey Khaos, how's the primer coming along? I'm looking forward to reading it. They're always written so well and they make the reader really want to play the deck.
I'd like to write a primer of my own sometime. I feel like I need to make more players on Dies to Removal make a Riku EDH deck and give this site a proper primer for Krenko, instead of just a list and then a bit of discussion. Maybe sometime this summer, because currently, school has taken away almost all of my will to write anything of substance.
The Primer I was writing got seriously derailed the night I started it. I was *ahem* kidnapped by some friends and taken to an all-night Memorial Day BBQ. After a few days when the hangover went away, I've gone back to it
periodically. Much like my personality, the project is getting bigger and bigger and over the top as I keep working on it. I've vowed to finish it within the next few days, so I will keep you guys posted.
I've got a red shirt and a fedora this time
Are you trying to be Theodora, the Wicked Witch?

Sorry, I watched Oz the Great and Powerful recently and it's still on my mind. Mila Kunis was so fuckable in that movie. At least until a certain part...

I have the SCG coverage on. I think I hate Cedric Philips more than anything right now. Every word he says, just hearing the sound of his voice, is like nails on a chalkboard to my ears.

He does grate after a while. And his rhetoric...he contradicts his own opinions constantly in his babbling.

Basically anything Cedric Phillips says can be disregarded, filed under "complete
and utter nonsense."

Not long ago he submitted an article about what he thought the best cards from Dragon's Maze were. I'm not going to list any of the cards, but I will say this: We didn't publish the article for a reason.

K, my little write-up on Bant Hexproof is in the Standard forum. Though it's in the only Bant section available: Midrange and Control.

So....Alex or Z: Is there a way to give Bant Aggro/Hexproof it's own home since it doesn't play like a Control or Midrange deck?

Can't create entire subforums, if you want that done you'll have to send a PM to the admin. The deck has posted results so make sure you specify that you want it under Competitive.

Nevermind looks like you found a place for it.

Good luck Fate! Tap dem mountains.

3-1'd the legacy tourney, lost my first round of top 4 to the guy I beat round 1. Came in either 3rd/4th, didn't stick around to find out cause I had an hour drive home. Ain't a lot I can do about turn 3 Marit Lage. That happened games 1 & 3 (he was on the play), and I killed him before he could get there g2 (since I was on the play).

Overall had a pretty good time. My opponents were all nice guys, and we had fun. The round I lost was the most fun, it was Thopter Combo w/Counterbalance & Tezzeret. Game 2 I had lethal Price of Progress, and he rips a Thopter Foundry (blind, he had no Top in play, it was epic) to counter it and get there with his Thopters. G3 he fateseals me with Jace, and he has lethal on board, but I've got one last turn. He's at 8, I'm at 4, and I draw Flame Rift with a Fireblast in hand. Exactly enough to force the draw, but he has the FoW for the
Fireblast. Great games.

As far as the deck goes, didn't miss the fetches in the least. My Grims had plenty of fuel.

Shit Helios, you make me really want to play Legacy now. I'd always wanted to build burn because it was one of the cheapest decks in the format with consistent results and I like the theory behind it. Thing is, I really don't have anyone to play Legacy with or know of a store nearby that hosts tournaments. There probably is one, but I just hadn't found out about it yet. That's why I'm reluctant to buy the Chain Lightnings for my Guild Wars deck. Once Guild Wars is over, there probably won't be anyone playing Legacy at my store anymore.

Serious question for Fate: looks like 3 naya agro decks in top 8. Did you see many of them in Baltimore? Play it any? I saw the list last week and it looks REALLY good.

Ouch, just out of the top standings. Congratulations on the wins, though  . I'd be very interested in getting a write up/sideboard plan since we're on the same 75 now. As far as the 4 wolves in the board go, realize that just because the card is good doesn't mean you want 4 of it. However, I do find that most of the game's I'm wanting to throw wolves in for I end up with a 59 card maindeck after initial substitutions, so 4 would help with the numbers a bit. I think if you
were to go 4 wolves you'd probably have to find room for a pillar maindeck first just so that the numbers play out a bit better when you're making substitutions.
Did you find that you wanted Electrickery? I don't play it, but I've found that you'll play a game 1 where it would be relevant, and its reaaalllly relevant there. Then, game 2, you kick their ass anyway, so you go back to thinking that you don't need it.

Decided to draft last night as it was gonna be the last RtR block draft, with MM being on the block till M14 drops. Wasted a first pick on temmera, and then realized I was getting cut from the red I wanted after snagging two Firstblades, and getting cut from white by the dude on my right attempting Orzhov. Figured that I'd attempt to grab as much black as I could as it went by hopefully getting some more bodies. Made a few bad picks trying to add green for a wonky 4 color, but ended up thanks to cutting black, Devour Flesh Launch Party Fatal Fumes Grisly Spectacle Killing Glare and Dreadbore, all put one pass. Signal read ftw! Ended up with a Brw that did some back breaking with only one rare, because Tithe Drinker
+ Riot Gear with Guardian of the Gateless backed up with rakdos drakes and imps proving to the dude who was running his mouth about losing cause he had "bad cards" was full of shit. 3-0 record for grabbing another $20 in store credit, which will of course be used for our $50 MM draft next week.

3 FNMs gone to, 3 nights of prizing. Maybe I do suck less at this game since taking a couple years off :P

you'll def get the write up. I learned a shitton and had the most BADASS game against fabiano, it involves lifegain for 39

also feel the same about eleck... those games where they get two dorks out really suck. 4 wolf may be too many, I just really need to see him, seeing two was nice even after the first got AoSd and the second ran around her.

won't be near a computer for awhile so.patience

Watching stream of top 8 while listening to Kanye. Looks like Ngyen blundered game one. If ever you're playing against Valroz and have a chance to kill it, do so. Hell, half the time I'll spear a cartel given the chance.

Edit: Wow. 5 copies of the new Naya Aggro in top 16 including three in top 8 and 2 in top 4. Makes me want to play naya...midrange.

This format is making for some really lazy plays for control decks. Got six mana? Drop Aetherling and see what happens!

Though I don't understand why people think they can play on its back to victory. It's a good card, sure, but it's no Thragtusk.
