It ends up working more like Olivia Voldaren's take-control ability than O. Ring's exile. If you killed Whale in response to the ability, you wouldn't even ever exile the creature, must less exile it forever. The reason the O. Ring trick works is because it's 2 different effects, whereas this is just the one.Hmm... this templating is different than the Oblivion Ring/Detention Sphere/Angel of Serenity templating... does someone else care enough to figure out the functional difference, if any?

Well, don't mistake me; I take this as my pick just because it's a B in BREAD. I just don't think it's much more than your average Craw Wurm because it can eat other bombs and the occasional wooden boy. I'm seeing a lot of situations where this ends up being non-performing, though: in the optimal situation where you're landing this before the opponent lands their bombs, there's every likelihood they're holding their removal or just play around it until they can answer... there's certainly no way they're walking their valuables into a big friggin' whale mouth, after all. It gains some value if you're trying to find the answer for their bombs, but then they're already in a situation where they've outpaced you for a turn+ and you would be served just as well with anything relatively beefy.
Then again, we've seen so little of the set I'm sure Wizards in
their perversity will do something silly like print a land that gives all your guys Haste for free or some dumb thing like that and I'll be eating my words here in a bit.
