@ Sasky ~ my walk around weight is about 180pounds :D I imagine my frame is like twice yours :(
More or less yes. I am considered average-sized in this country. When I visit Western countries everyone seems like giants. The side-effects of rice-vegatable-steamed fish diet.
You'll outlive us all though.

How tall are you zem? 148 can't be much more than bones and organs.

Also, I like the new smiley...
177cm or 5'10".
Yay! We're "heightbuddies"... :)

I'm usually around 160 myself.

I checked in at 5' 11", 162 lbs last week. I'm a pretty lean dude and the paleo thing keeps me that way.

Morning, gents.

Was up late last night brewing and testing with the magic buddies. We worked on a sick ass Bant auras deck using the new Armadillo Cloak. Deck just fucking rapes face. Gonna hit up a new LGS tonight and have my buddy play it. Pretty sure he's gonna tear up the room with it.

Yeah, I'm 6'1" - which is more-or-less average here - but in hispanic or oriental countries I feel like a giant.

6'2", 220lbs here. My best was 185 my first year on the college swim team. Trimmed down quite a bit, then went back up to about 195 after gaining a lot of muscle mass. Now that I'm 10 years out of college and only training Shorin-ji Ryu Karate and swimming for myself most mornings (as opposed to getting my ass kicked by a coach and with competition) I'm carrying some extra.

[deck]
4 Ash Zealot
4 Boros Reckoner
4 Burning-Tree Emissary
4 Gor Clan Rampager
4 Hellrider
4 Lightning Mauler
2 Pyreheart Wolf
4 Rakdos Cackler
4 Stromkirk Noble

4 Searing Spear

13 Mountain
4 Rootbound Crag
4 Stomping Ground
1 Temple Garden[/deck]
Foregoing Rancor and Flinthoof Boar, huh? Wasn't it you who said those were the 2 reasons to add green to RDW? :p

EDIT: Also, how do you like Reckoner MB? I've moved him to the SB in my Gruul sligh list because he just seems too slow against most decks and will come in against faster aggro or mirror matches. 4x Mauler may fix that for you, but I'd prefer to pair Mauler with Wolf or BTE.

[deck]
2 Golgari Guildgate
4 Overgrown Tomb
14 Swamp
4 Woodland Cemetery

4 Desecration Demon
2 Disciple of Bolas
4 Geralf' Messenger
4 Thragtusk

4 Liliana of the Veil

2 Abrupt Decay
3 Cremate
1 Murder
3 Mutilate
4 Sign in Blood
3 Tragic Slip
2 Victim of Night

Sideboard
3 Appetite for Brains
1 Cremate
2 Curse of Death's Hold
4 Duress
1 Mutilate
2 Underworld Connections
2 Vraska the Unseen[/deck]

<3 going deep.

Please no one ask me why Deathrite Shaman isn't in the deck. I encourage you to think before asking.
I like this a lot. Over on Sally there are some similar builds floating around in the old mostly black control thread. Those who stay just black have Bloodgift Demon in Thrags spot, but of course Thrag is better and helps you stabilize. I love the suicide black angle. More life = more cards. Love it.

Is Cremate good enough as a cantrip to MB it? I've always thought of it as a SB card. EDIT: You're certainly pitching enough cards and forcing your opponent to as well for this to get great value. I assume it's also part of the reason for your comment about Deathrite Shaman.

Love the Desecration Demon. Such an underrated control card.

Here's the first roughing out of the dragon cake. We had to tweak around with the cake recipe to get the consistency that we wanted so there's an overrun of strawberry cake parts here right now (no objection from my daughter--she hauled off some of the excess to share at the lunch table today). We baked a sheet cake to go under it the other night, and last night I covered said sheet in white chocolate fondant (thankfully we hit on a good recipe the first time...that stuff is a bear to work with!). The balance of today will be frosting the cake pieces together and then the cake as a whole, they laying in red fondant over the iced cake to mold details. How crazy I get with it today will be determined by how long the basic stuff takes as I've never done anything like this before, so timeline is rather nebulous. One way or another, it will be heading to FNM/Release Day event tonight for my great nephew's birthday.

'morning, gents.

The frickin' wind tore our shelter apart yesterday. Snapped three of the metal legs. I was able to salvage the tarp covering it, but the frame is a mess. I'm not sure how badly it's damaged.

That's pretty awesome, photo. Best dad ever. :)

Re- VD thread:

Most of the responses read like this:

This one time, at band camp? I played Vexing Devil? And it was real good? And this one time, I played it and my opponent made me sac it, and then I played Brimstone Volley, and then I did so much damage, and it was really good! Vexing Devil is awesome.

Fucking choads.

windstrider's last comment was fucking hilarious.

Good choice in art for the subject.

Are they all going to be based on artwork for removal spells?

I don't know, probably. I think I am going to do Lightning Bolt next. Or Shock, maybe.

I've literally never used Photoshop until today, so I'm still kind of stumbling around. Any protips would be appreciated.

I like Shock since it's got something actually "dying to removal" - same with Thunderbolt, Fireblast, etc.

I think Gruul get's a lot post rotation IMO. Its weird that I'm not "dreading" the day hellrider and noble and friends rotate out.

I'll be on the frontlines with Hellraiser, Reckoner, Rubblebelt Raiders, and Gruul War Chant >___>b

ANYWAY, this is the last standard tonight isn't it? I might have to work anyway, so I think I'm done tossing and turning and night over whether Reckoners or Pyreheart deserve MB love in Gruul. If I have MB/SB split my SB gets freakin clogged with 4x of Reckoners or 3x Pyreheart... and I ended up not being able to fit skullcrack. (Literally agonizing, there's about 3 different scratch-out marks on my deck registry). I didn't miss it last night, but I just as easily could've folded to fog ang Trostani lifegain.

I like your list Z but I don't think I could live without Boars. Last night a scrub Jund player slaughter games'd my Flinthoof Boar, so it shows you just how
much control shits their pants over that hasty guy.

Also that Golgari list is serious business. I playtested it after the version from GP Pittsburg came out, and I had serious trouble against it. I'm glad it hasn't picked up steam

Apparently we might be putting the banners on a circulation. Every time you refresh you get a new "dies to removal" banner.

That being said, I guess I'm going to need a lot more removal spells, both :symr: and in other colors.

Ones I already have in mind:
Abrupt Decay
Krosan Grip
Go for the Throat
Doom Blade
Galvanic Blast
Annihilating Fire
[card]Trostani's Judgment[/card]
Murder

Keep in mind, ladies, that I need to be able to find the cards' artwork WITHOUT the card. Cropping it from the card is a pain in the ass and is often much lower quality than the original piece of artwork.
