Against control is where it seems weakest due 2-1, but even then its not completely a dead card. Think of it as burn with a creature, so instead of that spear you held on to until the end of the game, you used it on T2 to let your cackler swing for +4 before they even untap a mana.
Or after a boardwipe with a hasted creature (Boar+double=8).
but mostly I like its combination with Reckoner. Instead of having to wipe your own board with Bact to combo with reckoner, you essentially make your field unblockable AND redirect a bunch of damage.
Nah I lied, I do like it with GCR but that requires 4 mana and is the least likely version to happen. Its the same reason I love hound of griselbrand so much, doublestrike is an engine for AGGRO that makes all of our pump effects twice as effective, and this has an effect a lot faster than hound (I'd play both and swap in hounds from the SB for this against
control post board)
Going to do a bunch of testing with it tomorrow.
2HG went well. In the finals we folded to a guy who had 3 zhur-taa swinges and his other head had Basicalla guards. The way "each opponent" reads= 8 damage a turn. We almost won too with riot controls but made a serious misplay with a counterspell. Counterspelled a stab wound when I had a friggin wear and tear in hand as well

Just wanted to say congrats to ham and zem for removing what was probably a good 90% of the content worth reading in the Rx Aggro subforum.

Played 3 pre-release sealed's. Finsihed 5/6th in the first 2 and then fatigue set in and finished a disappointing 11th in the third. Conclusions:
3 colors is mandatory for most decks, 4 and 5 color decks where the best. Just play all your gates and splash all your bombs.
Junk color guild packs are the most consistent. This good just be a symptom of all the best players going orzhov/selesnya/golgari, but we all crushed. 3 of us over 5 events had a combined record of 27-6-1. The green is solid, black and golgari have all the best removal and all the white hybrids seem like the best bombs.
Everyone has bombs so it's more or less even. People who aren't splashing for there bombs are just wrong. I had a boardstate of Orzhov Guildgate, double forest and izzet keyrune with an obzedat in hand one game. Didn't matter because most decks are slow enough that you can just buy time till you hit your colors and have them waste
removal on your midgame threats.
Ruric Tar is the best guild champion. He blows games wide open.
Hyper agro can work so long as you build your manabase right if your pool leans in that direction.
Overall I had a blast and I had my beliefs reaffirmed that sealed is just sealed. My buddy Weston opened a weak pool at the midnight release and still 3-1'd. His record over three events was a combined 12-2 with 6th, 1st, and 2nd place finishes in addition to crushing us in a four man triple DGM draft at his place a couple hours ago.
If I did another release, I'd probably go Orzhov, but rakdos seems SO much fun. Well, I'm headed to bed. Haven't slept(2 hours is not sleep) in two days so gonna hit the hey.
@ Windstrider, When I wake up tomorrow, I'll look the pool over again since I don't have any of the DGM cards memorized, but looking at the gruul and rakdos packs alone, it looks like you had solid cards and a good enough pool for at least a 3-1 or whatever.

You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.
Beatdown is hard, though.

This is entirely correct. Almost everyone was playing 3 colors with that occasional 4th color splash since the guildgates were just plenty. I also can't fathom the number of cluestones in the packs (I had six with four on color).3 colors is mandatory for most decks, 4 and 5 color decks where the best. Just play all your gates and splash all your bombs.
Although, would we see the same 3-color pattern in DGM-GTC-RTR drafts?

I would say yes, but it would mostly be 3-color, nothing more, nothing less. Drafting makes it so you're not thrusted with a kaleidoscope of options, and you'd be forced to commit. Opening a Rtr pack followed by a gtc pack means you are most likely forced to play more than 2 colors. Therefore, three colors.

I get all the Firefly things, but I have no idea about Game of Thrones. But then, I don't ever watch TV because I don't have cable.I don't understand 80% of the references in this clan.
Though I do highly recommend you watch Firefly. It was only one season, but if you like Westerns, Star Trek, or Star Wars, you'll love it.
In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.

I just don't even know what to say right now. I mean, I have a bit more pacience with bad players, mostly cause I dOnt think too highly of myself as one, but how can you just not seem to grasp anything we say? I personally quit after he asked why vexing devil is bad.....http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showpost ... count=1363

He is, and always has been a fucking 100% certifiable retard.
He tried to use his "competitive" knowledge against me in my mono black infect primer, and claimed that I had no idea how to properly build a deck from the ground-up.
I don't think I've ever actually grilled somebody so hard in the history of my MTGS posting. Those posts were such a smackdown that I had them removed from the primer thread just so that they didn't disrupt the flow of the actual useful Q&A.

Yeah Koopa deleted your original HGD thread and Z's primer thread.
And the more I think about it, I really think S_A is just some retarded 15 year old kid who is just trolling everyone. Nobody can be that dumb. Except for Rivaltuna.

Holy shit. You'd think, as a mod, he'd at least be smart enough to maybe play the deck to know what works with it, or at least read the previous discussion to know whats good. Or he could just disregard any of the good ideas that have been brought up to disassociate us from them as much as possible and remove pyreheart wolf and stonewright from the main and throw in skullcrack, vstrenght, and shred-freakAnd replaced it with this garbage, no less.and Z's primer thread.

I wonder how mad he would be if I reported his own post for being uncompetitive.

Go for it, we're not doing anything against the rules. His thread is actual trash and according to their rules, it doesn't belong in the competitive section.and says a ban in my book , so I am reporting you guys sorry nothing personal...Make sure you report the thread, too. Preferably using the exact same wording as mine for extra lulz.Added my two cents.
PS: Adding "nothing personal" at the end of a dickish statement doesn't make you any less of a dick, for future reference.

Interesting, I had the opposite experience with Ruric. I weirdly think he's better in constructed than limited.Played 3 pre-release sealed's. Finsihed 5/6th in the first 2 and then fatigue set in and finished a disappointing 11th in the third. Conclusions:

Of course, I myself didn't get to play him, but when he was played against me he was easily dealt with due to his "must attack clause."
So its entirely possible that they were just misplaying with him. I probably wouldn't drop him unless I had a bloodrush in my hand to protect him from being double gang bang blocked. THEN I could see him being a game ending bomb
