Yaay brewing time
This is my current project which I havn't tested but believe will do well (its pretty much a mono red draw burn deck, with the goal of turning EVERYTHING into gas (either for the draw engine, face or Vortex)).
[deck=MDU's Rg Vortex Burn]Lands 24
2 Stomping Ground
4 Bloodstained Mire
4 Copperline Gorge
4 Wooded Foothills
10 Mountain
Burn 20
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Lava Spike
4 Rift Bolt
4 Shard Volley
4 Searing Blaze
Enchantment 04
4 Molten Vortex
Draw Spells 12
4 Tormenting Voice
4 Wild Guess
4 Magmatic Insight
Sideboard 15
4 Pyrite Spellbomb
4 Destructive Revelry
4 Skullcrack
3 Searing Blood[/deck]
Still working out the optimal number of lands and draw spells (perhaps some of them could be cut for Bump in the Night or Command). The Sideboard needs work but with the amount of draw cards going on its quite possible to run golden bullets and draw then on time (e.g. ensnaring bridge for merfolk and small zoo or random yard hate, Aura hate, lifegain hate or even Yard hate).

Looks like a life from the loam deck with no loam and more aggro.

@Blackhound: Yeah its kinda like Loam! Hmmm maybe I should run 1 or 2 loam spells

Hmmm initial testing (via trial by fire, so SE all day everyday) lost 0-1 and 1-1, the first event was lost by me underrating Molten Vortex and throwing away an easy win and the second was just a close one but I lost because I didn't play lands and allowed a snappy to swing in past by bridge.
Anyhow I've now updated the list into:
[deck=MDU's Vortex Burn]Lands 24
2 Stomping Ground
2 Sacred Foundry
2 Scalding Tarn
2 Arid Mesa
4 Cliffside retreat
4 Wooded Foothills
8 Mountain
Burn 25
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Lava Spike
4 Rift Bolt
4 Shard Volley
4 Searing Blaze
4 Lightning Helix
1 Deflecting Palm
Enchantment 03
3 Molten Vortex
Draw Spells 4
4 Faithless Looting
Sideboard 15
3 Path to Exile
4 Destructive Revelry
4 Skullcrack
2 Ensnaring Bridge
2 Searing Blood[/deck]
I've been thinking about 1 Palm over the third path but I'm not 100% on that option yet. So far I'm enjoying the deck, I like how opening hands feel with much less mulliganing and I'm giving some thoughts on running 2x loams to fuel Vortex (making it easier to close out games or control the board).
