That's absolutely one way to rephrase what I said with the same meaning, yes.
I've found that the best DTK draft plan is "hamfistedly stick to your guns unless your deck is Impact Tremors on Vandalize after your pick 1 Thunderbreak Regent" and that wavering from "the plan" is the easiest way to fuck up and do bad in DTK draft (or draft in general really).
But that's just how I view DTK draft. I'm just buried in product from winning all but one of my drafts so far, so what do I know?
