I might be going to Korea for work this month, should be available easily there. Plus they're fan of French cards.

How did I immediately know when I saw a Thrillo post responding to a post of mine that it would be unnecessarily aggressive towards words and ideas that I never even remotely expressed.
You likened listing a valuable card on eBay he got while drafting in the top 8 of a Grand Prix to "using the community" and playing Monday morning quarterback with a scenario you most likely will never be in. Calling you on dick waving righteousness when there is an almost certain likelihood you will never have to follow through on it is absolutely within the bounds of what you said, but feel free to continue claiming I misrepresent you.
You claimed that I disagreed with him rare drafting. I never said that because I don't believe that.

I also don't have an issue with him selling the card in general and never said that I did.

You always get so pissy.
Here's the sparknotes summary:
You're being self-righteous about someone else's choices that have done no harm to anyone else, and use yourself as a frame of reference for a scenario you haven't been in and in very great likelihood—and this isn't a slight, GP Vegas Modern Masters Foil Goyf top 8 happens but once a 4-years—will never be in. This is compounded by the fact that a man with no obligation to donate a cent of the money from his good fortune to charity is donating half, but this is still apparently not good enough for you because unless this man is scraping dirt into a taco shell to get by, he should not be motivated to use his winnings for himself.

Here's a shorter summary:
You= :wangle:

I have an opinion about someone else's choices based on what I would do in the same situation. I'm sorry that this upsets you so much.
I agree with you to some degree on this matter, but aren't you the guy who said Khaos punching his methhead brother for doing meth was was out of line because what his brother was doing didn't effect him? Or something like that.

Why isn't it out of line? Did his brother steal something of his to buy drugs? Does he always screw up and expect Khaos to fix it, and one day Khaos got fed up with it? Did they get into an argument where his brother said something way over the line?

If his brother is just doing drugs and it in no way affects Khaos's life, then yeah, I do think punching him is out of line. This coming from perhaps one of the most anti-drugs guy you will ever meet.
I just don't understand how if you don't think it's okay for a brother to judge/look out for/bash on his brother, then why in the world do you think it's okay for you to bash on anyone for (a) something he may or may not even do, (b) something he's not obligated to do anyway, and (c) something that he's not doing in EXCESS of what he's already doing that will help others...

The Goyf has far passed the value where Pascal is kind of an asshole again if he doesn't donate more than 50% to charity. When you think it's going to go for double the value due to stamp/story, 50% is fine. When it's going for 5000% of the regular value, maybe you should just say "everything but retail will go to charity."
The eBay auction clearly listed, from the very beginning, that exactly 50% would go to charity. Therefore everybody who has bid has either known or should have known that only 50% of their bid would go to charity and the rest in his pocket. That leads to an inference that everybody bidding is fine with Pascal receiving 50% of the proceeds. If they're fine with it, then so am I.

For the record, it was coke.

And, yeah, it was affecting my life since he was bringing it around people I knew and his behavior was being negatively reflected on me. What started as an argument about his actions quickly escalated into something else. I admit that I'm not the most reasonable person when I'm angry, but I'm always quick to cool off and apologize. Would I do it again? No. I had the best of intentions and acted wrong. But I would definitely confront him again about it. Since that day, he's gone off to experimenting with molly and getting banned for his drunken/high antics at some of the stores in my area. I've always been rowdy and reckless myself, and it certainly runs in the family, but it seems like he wants to take it a step further. I wouldn't be surprised to hear some awful news about him in the future and that fucking scares the shit out of me.

Anyhoo, that's all I got to say about that.

Re: Goyf

Word on the street is that Pascal Maynard drafted that Tarmogoyf because he's financially strapped for cash. He desperately wants to attend the remaining GPs so he can lock up a spot for Worlds and money is definitely an issue. The fact that he wants to donate half to charity says a lot about his character. I say good for him.

If someone wants to diminish their chances of winning a GP to speculate on the market then all the more power to him. It's terrible magic, terrific business.

awesome warwizard. I had a friend almost top 8 the tcg invitational this weekend. He finished 12th for 1k and beat Seth manfield and Owen in the last two rounds which is awesome.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

I think it's more weird that I can write a single innocuous sentence and have it spawn dozens of overreactive responses from people who fancy themselves thick-skinned, internet cool guys, but then again, I'm weird.
Instead of just telling you your opinions about things are just behind the edge of "objectively wrong" I figured I'd explain where the things you were saying were wrong for a change to pages of banter and you trying to explain how I read you wrong.

So I'm just going to put out there that it must be nice to be you, but you're wrong and you should feel bad about being wrong. (you shouldn't feel bad about being wrong, it's ok to be wrong)

This final core set is really cool. Prowess as an evergreen keyword is a nice thing to add to UR (since Kiln Field, Wee Dragonauts, and Nivex Cyclops shouldn't have to stand alone). Keyword Goblin War Drums is cool. Some of these cards are cool effects albeit not Constructed worthy (except that Dragon, mama mia that's a spicy meatball). This preview season start is really hotting up.
