Ashen Rider whip isn't a deck. Why would Atarka whip be?

Because Atarka is much better/easier to cast as a 7 drop since it's HUGE and can actually deal with multiple threats on ETB.
You can: kill a rhino, eat sorin and his vampire
Eat all of elspeths soldier and ding her effectively trading with Elspeth if they have no removal
Plague wind a RW players board
Eat board of mana-dorks etc.

You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.
Beatdown is hard, though.

No more than 3. I've been trying to brew up some lists that take advantage of delve creatures. Nothing too fancy, just early disruption and removal with a few wayfinders. I started out with just G/B, but there really is no reason not to splash for charms and more power. I just have to figure out if I want blue or white. I'm leaning towards Rhino and Abzan Charm atm.The list I'm using has 2. How many do you want?Meh. As a one of.
Or I could just play Abzan Control with 2 MD Tasigur.

The PAX thing really disappoints me.
Double-faced cards are an abomination.
Sarkhan shouldn't be blue. It is literally the only colour that doesn't make sense to put him in, fuck it, let's do it. Why the fuck is he the only three colour card in a fucking wedge block set? We're going to go from awesome wedges, to the fucking boring allied colour combinations we always have. Good fucking job. We'll have a bunch of cycles where Rakdos gets unplayable garbage too.
Khans Block is like the Matrix Trilogy. First one is amazing, second one is decent and makes you really anticipate the third, and the third is so awful and disappointing you have to pretend 2 + 3 don't exist so you can still enjoy the first.
Battle for Zendikar is the only good thing to come out of this.

You are ridiculous. Double face walkers are brilliant and our so obvious and streamlined that we should feel dumb about not thinking about them.
Sarkhan being blue while awkward for constructed applications makes sense from a flavor standpoint since he studied with temur shamans or something. I
In the context of the fact that they've shuffled Pro Play to the PT mostly being standard, the block radically changing at the end makes a lot of sense as the format feels a lot more open now for new archetypes because the new cards are vary powerful.
Like, you can be mad and that's fine since that's just like your opinion man, but for the lions share of players(including myself) these announcements/changes where all awesome.
My friend Bayani(best player in California BY FAR who's not on the PT by choice) said it best: you'll appreciate magic a lot more when you stop complaining and wanting to appeal to a sliver of your vision of what should be and appreciate the game for all the opportunities it allows you to explore.

I agree double sided planeswalkers were obvious, I just despise double faced cards. They're awful for draft and you have to play with stupid rules inserts while the real 20 - 30 dollar card sits in your deck box.
Khans block is a whole other problem. I know I complain too much, but this just really seems like an epic fail. They had so much momentum and opportunity to do something different, and instead, they just did what they always do.
Also, since we're expecting enemy fetches next fall, it would have been nice and made sense to have some enemy cards.
I know Magic is not made for me, but I have to assume there are other players like me that also don't like their approach.

I also think their reasoning for Sarkhan being blue is pretty weaksauce.
He was RG, then RB, then RR, was as some point RWB, but let's just make him blue because he learned a lot. Also so we can have all the planeswalkers be blue.
I also feel it's a missed opportunity to not have a Sarkhan legendary creature that is influenced by the new time line.

Typically how a 100% midrange era ends up I'd think. Considering, the more people are pigeon-hold into playing midrange the easier it is for control strategies to prey on it. Thought to be fair there are a quite few anti-control midrange cards now. So we'll have to just wait and see.New set looks more like a control set to me.

Yes he is!! Todd Anderson has evidently had an utter fanboy moment on Khaos...he's posted pics and evidently had Justin "Rick Grimes" Brad. All while going 6-2 thus far...Rick Grimes at GP Miami is all over my Facebook feed.

I lost my win and in to Day 2. Finished at 6-3.
Gonna play some side events tomorrow, and I'm pretty sure tomorrow will be just as fun as today.
Had some crazy things happen, like Todd Anderson, Brad Nelson, and Gerry T clowning around with me and making Rick Grimes/Coral jokes. I've taken fuck knows how many pictures with people, meeting new players, and involving myself with the larger Florida community. It's good stuff!

In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.
I rarely skip a Khaospawn wall of text because I know there is always piss at the end of the rainbow.
