I entered one of the OU tournametns the chat puts up on PS. I got a lucky burn off a scald when my opponent switched in a metagross. My opponent complained so I lightheartedly said "I skillfully burned you".

He took it seriously. I want to be the respectful improve-myself-as-a-player kind of guy but I have studied the trashtalk of the most skilled diss-masters in every genre of competitive gaming and this guy was asking for it.

In design, I think it's a mistake to ignore this incredible feeling of satisfaction after destroying someone in the game of trashtalk while simultaneously achieving the intended win-condition.
