think i posted at the top of my rage. I guess the best i can do is just be another set of eyes and hope that the main issues are fully fixed. If you're not banned from Salvation then I personally can't see why you'd be in CI at all. Don't be vocal or troll or speak your mind, getting banned at this juncture is really not a noble anything and you will regret it if at some point Boubs makes that website a good and decent place hang around or visit. In sum don't become a CI Warrior. It looks like a shit job.
I just shit post and get blocked on the twatters

I do have to ask:
During the long cold days of Winter I carried faith that the staff wasn't so monstrous as some would make it seem. There were painful sacrifices, and in these days a few on staff have realized how close they were to going as batshit insane as I am, but through some miracle of strength they pulled through, and for my part I am glad they get to enjoy the sunshine of Spring. Yet why can't they see what they've accomplished, too? Why, after all of that, are they in the least bit scared they can't handle the Gutter? More to the point, why aren't they willing, hell why aren't they ecstatic, to share these bright warm days with you?

I don't know. It has never been the policy to randomly unban people when the feeling is that there were 'justly' banned. Constantly ripping on the staff here probably isn't helping, but only creating a very negative vision of what salvation would be like if you were unbanned. Just my theory on it though, I wouldn't begrudge most of you coming back.Well, let's see.
1. The Gutter was originally banned because drama.
2. The time of drama is over.
3. Why keep the Gutter banned?

see ripping on the staff on other sites too. That would improve morale.

I think people rip on the staff here because they know they have been mistreated by the staff (and know the staff here doesn't handle cards as liberally as in MTGS CI). One easy way to improve staff reputation would be to reverse these unfair bannings, but I don't think its reasonable to expect that the perception of the staff quality would improve prior to anyI don't know. reversal of these illegitimate actions (and moreso in view of Sene flaunting over here on how he considers all the bannings to have been crystal-clear fair, or Nai admonishing kpaca and telling him he is not unbanned simply because he has a negative attitude towards the iridium on other sites).
The ball is in the hands of iridium. They can make ammends and help fixing the rift, or they can go all and let the corpse to continue rotting in the Sun

It seems cowardly to spy on people and take pot shots at their character behind hidden inaccessable doors than openly discussing what an issue is about them or attempting to come to a compromise.Thank you NoHomers, for showing why the staff might be hesitant to talk here, despite the "open" invitation. Seriously, what purpose was that post trying to serve? Were you trying to be funny and failed miserably, or are you taking pot shots? I truly want to know...
If you find it hard to be open about the things you think and feel but are perfectly comfortable using what others are willing to disclose against them for not being so cowardly, I think that's a pretty disgusting double standard, which is what NoHomers may be getting at. Im not saying or implying you do this personally, but 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the problems originate from people gathering in a deeply hidden cloister to decide the fates of others without meeting among the gentry to discuss with them or see what input they may have. Not only that, but it raises an air of distrust and implies a one-way trust that is neither earned nor warranted but for a bold-face title under one's name. That sets a very poor precedent for ongoing discussions both past and present.
In addition to that, the overwhelming "There are too many mean-spirited words in what you're saying so I'm going to ignore the whole thing and/or not read it before responding to you" attitude that permeates from the Mod Lounge at most levels of dialog is pretty disgusting and is not conducive to progress and further stagnates conflict resolution. Go back and read my 3-odd pages of Customer Service Manifesto ITT to get an idea of what I'm talking about.

to be fair to Guardian, I think he is the best of the staff members who post here (well, maybe voltan qualifies too). For example, he is participating in our Mafia game and everyone gets along without any single fuss. (proof that we can get along, given the correct setting).
Plus he was actually asked to give his opinion by Pendulum, so that's one thing for him too.

My read on the staff right now is that aside from the people who just never got along with the gutter, there's a lot of them who are just plain psychologically traumatized by how badly things have gone for them lately. And they're afraid that if the gutterites come back, you'll continue mind-raping them/the site into depression, bringing the drama back with you.
A lot of those guys had fragile egos to begin with, and some of them are kind of curled up in the fetal position more than they're taking an objective view of whether anyone's bannings were completely fair. And others are probably just taking a pragmatic, realpolitik sort of view that the gutterities being gone means things should run more smoothly.
Don't really expect anyone here to feel sorry for them, but that's where a good number of them seem to be at right now. Gutter=drama=mean people=pain=bad.
Hence, they want assurances that anyone who comes back
will play nice and not drop poison in the water supply.
@Col Khad - From the current discussions in CI, it sounds like Boubs is still worried that the SQL dumps could lead to liablity on account of privacy concerns/people like Harkius who don't want that info given out. And naturally, that's a job security issue for him. I doubt he's going to want to risk putting his job on the line just to produce the dumps for you guys. Can't really blame him.

I totally agree with your assessment Az, I mean just look at that answer from Nai to kp, he doesn't even gives himself the trouble to try to justify that the banning was justified in the first place, instead making up reasons to justify post-facto the decison, like some unconfirmed evasion o the ban (is it still evasion if the ban wasn't warranted in the first place?) and the fact that he is abrasive against the iridium in "other sites" (well go figure, I wonder why he feels miffled? ).
As for the sql dumps, I've checked my html dumps and there seems not to be any trace of Harkius posts (there is none in tbgte for sure). Again, I can be sympathetic to Boubouilles position but I think that there is no need to keep stirring around the pot, and and actual No would be nice so that we can go on with our
lives. nothing more.

emotions and I feel sorry for you. It's Spring and you have power, why not use it? To do otherwise is to show that the time of drama is a boogeyman, a shadow to be fearful of, and that is not what the future needs.

yo that seattle guest was probably me on my phoneYou wouldn't call it hostile to post where someone is from when you're calling them out for not logging in? Really? We mods (admins?) can see more information about each user in their posts, just by opening up a little tab there. I wouldn't call that scraping IPs in a hostile fashion.Possibly because you scrape the IPs off of guests in a hostile fashion, just to try to make them post?I dunno, but one of them is from thehey Sene, who are our 2 guests ?
Seattle region. Possibly someone who is too scared of posting here.
You need to check your reality switch.

omg did someone ban kpaca while getting headSpeaking for myself, I would never appeal to this staff because I lost all my trust in their capability of exerting a fair judgement. I base myself on my last appeal for that idiotic suspension for "posting on behalf a suspended member" after I quoted a joke from someone who turned out to be suspended at the time I quoted the joke. Since I don't trust them to admit their mistakes, I wouldn't bother wasting my time personally.@Appealing: Why the hell aren't you guys just doing that? What possible damage could come from it?
Furthermore, some bannings are
so scandalous (the banning of kpaca being at the forefront) that I consider one being required to appeal it borderline insultuous as opposed to having the people in charge just admit their mistake and simply reversing an illegitimate decision without further hassle and summits.

I am here on invitation, posting simply how I see the situation, and then get sniped at by some asshole? I am sorry that I am not Sene/Galspanic, but I very straight-to-the-point type of person. His post did nothing but take a cheap shot, I call him out on it, and you defend him?But to be honest The Guardian, coming in here chiding people with the same aggressive tone and condescension you argue we're guilty of goes a long way to invalidating your argument defending the staff as the wronged party.
I am not trying to be condenscending. I simply don't want to deal with the shit NoHomers is bringing in this thread. Could you imagine if the thread turned into a bunch of posts like that?
But that's the thing! I see you shackled by your own complex emotions and I feel sorry for you. It's Spring and you have power, why not use it? I am pretty off-hand in the moderator lounge *shrugs*. I try to read an entire argument as best I can, before coming up with a response. will admit if I feel that I am wasting my time, I may just ignore the person completely when not doing mod stuff.
Also, if that's what NoHomer thinks, he should just say it. The miracles that could happen in life if people just spat out what they meant, instead of double talking would never cease to amaze me.

use the search functionwhatIf Galspanic stopped behaving akin to a "Village Simpleton" maybe I'd feel less inclined to call him out on his passive/agressive ways. Except that everyone lost a crapton of time with his willing to "fix things" (like calling back kcw to make "the last Gutter post(TM)")
