I have a gut feeling on that card too, although I haven't acted on it yet. I missed out on the Rabble-train before so I'm gonna have to stop procrastinating this time.Buy Savage Knuckleblades. Preferably in bulk.

Knuckleblade may not have a perfect home right now, but it's an inherently powerful magic card. Cards like that have a higher probability of spiking because they don't see play while they're being drafted but then new sets bring decks that want them so everybody has to buy them from scratch.
Thanks to NerdBoyWonder for the amazing sig!

It's really not. Ashcloud was a 3.50 mythic that was(to me) obviously playable, but there was no home for the card so it didn't spike till people started finding decks to play it. Knuckleblade is more of the same, only arguably a better card. It's spike is gonna come either by the end of the year if it starts doing well at more events, or more longterm when better manafixing gets printed.I could state financial card gains that people told me wouldn't be too... But comparing Kunckleblade to Ashcloud is just cray.People told me ashcloud phoenix was garbage as well and mine more then double in price.Knuckleblades wont go beyond $5
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Savage Knuckleblade is in the same boat as Mantis Rider. They can both only be played in those exact 3 colors. I don't expect either one to go higher than $5 ever again.
Ashcloud Phoenix on the other hand has just one color requirement, and can therefore be played in multiple different decks. What confuses me about this card is that it has been in many Top 8 decklists, in the main and sideboard, and yet managed to drop $1 in price after the Pro Tour. It only bugs me because I bought/traded for 20 of them, lol.

The common opinion from the players at the PT was that Ashiok is not well positioned. The times that you get to mill a creature and then do something with it are so infrequent that you are better off playing other cards.
Edit - Quote from Owen Turtenwald
Edit - Quote from Owen Turtenwald
In practice Ashiok failed miserably. In essence it's just a lucky card since if you're not on the play or if you are ever behind on the board it does nothing to help stabilize your situation. Also, it just has a random element right on it, if you aren't milling good creatures that cost five or less it has no effect on the game. It was a serious liability to have a card in your deck that allowed your opponent to make good use of their Hero's Downfalls. At the Pro Tour I had many players leave in Hero's Downfall againast me, sideboard in Despise, or even cast Phyrexian Revoker and name Ashiok. I feel strongly that removing Ashiok from the deck was one of the largest stepping stones to go from an OK list to a Pro-Tour-caliber deck.

I have read the same opinion from several others who played control at the last PT. When it actually works, it is great. The problem is that it rarely has an impact against higher level players.

Best card in the mirror is worst fears. You bounce all there lands to there pearl lake ancient and the game is over. OR you discard there entire hand to prognostic sphinx. If you're lucky, you do both.
Whether worst fears is actually playable or not is up for debate, but if it is, it's amazing. My buddy tested it once and it was great. Don't know if he played it at the GP or not, but he finished in the money.

I can't believe how nonchalant he was about sliding the cards off the bottom to the top while on camera. What a fuckin balloon head.

At the same time, we're talking of an individual that could reach such a level of mastery only via actual training.I don't cheat, and I obviously don't condone cheating, but there's something just inherently cool about sleight of hand when compared to, say, playing an extra land on a turn or being an asshole about triggers, that makes me hate this guy less than other cheaters.
It's like, yeah, he cheated, but at least he put some effort into it.
There's a 75% chance this guy would be the protagonist if life was Hollywood.
He has put effort in being able to cheat.
That's pretty low.
