Rabblemaster is fine.
11 Mountains for Chained is most optimal.

For anything. It's a good card, and claiming it to be lackluster is being disingenuous.

I agree with Purp. At States, I found myself siding out Rabblemaster more than almost any other card. I was also siding out Arc Lightning a lot, but I feel like that card is necessary for certain matchups when they are spewing their hand of 1-drops.
Rabblemaster is a good card in general, I just find it to be totally worthless against Abzan, Jeskai, and Mono Green.

I get what you mean, but I've been reading the discusson on Glare and I think it warrants some testing. Against both Junk and Mardu, their most troublesome cards get hit by Glare (Sorin + on-color fatty). Additionally Glare probably won't ever be completely dead at any point against those decks; all in all it seems solid. If I'm siding in answers I want them to be able to hit Whip/Bow as well as the other stuff I need to deal with. That basically leaves Erase and Banishing Light, meaning I'm also probably on 2 Banishing Lights. I also ran Wear//Tear consistently the entire season and loved it the whole time.

Rabblemaster isn't the problem against Abzan though. Swiftspear and Seeker are no better against Siege Rhino et al. The problem is/was that the other decks don't have the correct answers to deal with the cards Abzan is playing. Chained to the Rocks and Banishing Light aren't the best answers since they get removed by Utter End preboard and Erase postboard, but Glare of Heresy and Reprisal are great out of your board.
It could be that the answer is that RW just isn't good enough. I believe Jeskai is just a better deck, and even it has some issues against Abzan. If you're hellbent on not playing Jeskai, consider Mardu for Crackling Doom, Murderous Cut, and Despise. Hell, Ankle Shanker even seems interesting against what Abzan is trying to dom

I think that's a bit of an oversimplification. I like RM, but I wouldn't want a deck with just him and some burn spells in it, would you?For anything. It's a good card, and claiming it to be lackluster is being disingenuous. For the creature curve topper?Rabblemaster is fine.
If the answer is no, that implies that he needs some kind of company. But again you just wouldn't pair him up with any random selection on-color curve fittng creatures. He needs specific company.
What I'm asking is, do you want him at the highest CMC position in that specific company, or do you want something a bit larger?

He needs specific company like Tarmogoyf needs specific company; they're both powerful enough (in the formats in which they see play) that it takes very little to "enable" them and they fit in a wide variety of decks.
In previous standard he was a curve-topper with high synergy in rabble-red, and in other decks he was just a very solid beater that fit somewhere in the middle of the curve.

I was just starting to realize this. If you are cutting 1's, 2's, and 3 drops and going bigger, that lets you play more lands that come in to play tapped, which means you don't really have any reason to not just play 3 colors. If you want to go bigger you should probably just play Jeskai.

I chose Internet Big pic and the resise fell like that, lolWhat is this? A picture for ants? Finally my Palm's arrived
Now waiting for my Gryff's that will arrived from Germany
Going Big/Jeskai will be an option, but I like to think this deck like a outsider and not the target to kill (Jeskai).
I think the meta will move to something like Majority of Abzan + Jeskai + G based decks (Courser+Sylvan C + Elf + X big creatures) followed by some agroo, Midrange decks (Mardu/Naya/Sultai/RG/Temur) and maybe control (probably UB). If we can not have an edge for the best/most played decks we have to choices, change for another deck or change for one of that decks (thinking in an competitive perspective). I remember playing Delver mirror 6 in 7 rounds, and thinking how will be Jeskai Mirror this begin of season and I don't know if I want that. In the store I play are already maybe 30%~40% of people playing/talking in play Jeskai.
I will for now try to have edge from the three top deck using the mainboard/sideboard wisely. Many person playing the Gryff mainboard and it certainly gives best chances against Green decks/Abzan decks. The deck in the original configuration have some edge against Jeskai (I think I ear Brad Nelson said that), and we have a big edge against agroo decks for sure. So I think this deck is viable now.

I was trying to put together a Jeskai List and I ended up in a direction not too far off from a Jeskai fliers deck. The idea may have merit.I was just starting to realize this. Ive been playing this a lot online and I just feel like its a subpar jeskai right now. If they stick a creature and get a lifelink charm off its just too hard for us to catch up it feels like. Im not sure this is what I wanna be doing in a standard without skullcrack... I dunno. You guys feeling good about the deck?

I'm kinda back on the Jeskai train too...I'm trying not to be arrogant here but I have lost maybe 2-3 matches in the past 6 weeks and it is making it really really hard to decide what to run at SCG Worcester. Would be much easier if something stood out. Had success with multiple Boros and UWR lists.
I have been prepping like a madman for the Open coming to my hometown and my next magic goal is to top8 one of these bad boys. I want it so fucking bad. Its gonna torment me till I do it. They only come around so often so I cant fuck this up.
Here is how I see it:
American - better vs Junk, better vs control, even in mirror, worse vs small aggro
Boros - Worse vs Junk, Worse vs control, favored in mirror and vs small aggro
They both have ups and downs but considering aggro is basically non-existant, the only advantage of Boros is the mirror where UWR is better vs Junk and UB Control.
Makes me lean UWR.
EDIT: UWR is also favored vs Green Devo as Charm is very very good here.

My playset of Samtschwingen-Dommelgreif (Hushwing Gryff) arrived
I'm undecided if play RW or Jeskai Saturday in game day. I will not have any time to play until there, I think I will soon and take 3 or 4 decks and choose according what I see the peole playing

I see that list and I'm love too. I like very much the Jeskai list from JAMIE PARKE at the Pro Tour. This two are my favorite Jeskai lists from the more than 21 points in the Pro Tour.I personally love Stratskys UWR list with a creature heavy approach with 4 Seeker, 4 Mantis, 4 Gryff, 3 Phoenix , 2 Dragon.

I don't know if I can get the Flooded Strand in time, not sure if it will be available in the store and don't have time enough to buy from internet.

For now I'm on Boros because I'm a broke-ass college student.
Speaking of Boros, I'm really liking the look of Hordeling Outburst over Arc Lightning in the main. The card was very good for Brad Nelson against Jeskai, and it's still good against Aggro. Also is much better against control. Both cards are pretty meh against the green decks, so I feel like it's a good swap.

I'll be pushing a hot knife into my skull if I don't find something to consistently win against Rhino.Dec within the next 2 days.
So infuriating, to play around removal spells, and play a smart game, only to lose to triple Siege Rhino into Sorin or some shit. This feels worse than playing against Mono Black over and over.

They play 1 card, and we have to spend 2 to even begin to deal with it. Playtest the matchup and you'll start to see why it's so miserable. I've been trying multiple different decks, and I can't find one that can even win it 40% of the time.Gryff stops the lifegain, SBD blocks him all day long, and there are excellent white cards to exile that fucker.
