I scrumped hard at States today, finishing 4-3
I lost to GR Monsters, some weird Delve deck, and Jeskai. All the losses were very close

In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.
I rarely skip a Khaospawn wall of text because I know there is always piss at the end of the rainbow.

On my phone excuse my lack of typing the full card name.
[deck]
4 swiftspear
4 seeker
4 rabble
2 ash cloud
2 Chandra
4 magma jet
4 lightning strike
4 searing blood
4 stoke
1 arch lightning
1 deflecting palm
3 chained
11 mountain
2 plains
4 forge
4 temple
1 wind scarred
1 mana confluence
SB
1 banishing light
1 chain
1 mountain
1 temple of silence
2 stormbreath
3 hushwing
1 deflecting palm
1 arc lightning
2 glare
2 erase
[/deck]
Went 4-0 vs Mardu midrange variants
1-1 junk aggro list from pro your (wingmate roc is really good in doubles)
0-1 gb dredge midrange... Nemesis is a bitch
Top 8 was: RW burn, red heroic ( deck looked real good), Jeskai tempo, RW control (also looked very good), 2 junk - 1 more aggro, (I can describe this when I get on a computer if someone wants) the other was a more midrange value creatures, 1 gb dredge and gr monsters playing rabble.
Rabble is the worst card in the deck.

Yep....what he said. Split the finals at states to get the mat cause I'm not going to NJ.
7 rounds, like 68 people?
Played the following decks
G/b devotion -- Win
Jeskai "Tempo"--- Win
Jeskia "Tempo"-- Win
Jeskai Control--- Win
Mardu midrange-- loss
RUG Monsters-- win
Draw into top8
Top8 G/r devotion
Top4 Rematch from swiss loss vs Mardu Midrange.
finals split.
Deck felt so much smoother than Jeskai.
Palm didnt do whole lot for me either to be honest. I did use it on a Stoke and that was pretty sweet.
Another pretty sweet play from the top4 vs Mardu
This is like turn 4
Opponent is at 12 life plays Rabble and passes.
I have 2 Swiftspears out and cast 2 Searing blood to swing for 12 exact...it was pretty amazing.

Hello guys,
Took the deck to states and went 5-2 and finished in 13th place. One of the games i lost was due to drawing too many lands. The other game was against a straight up blue/white control deck. Aside from the game where i drew too many lands, they all felt like i had a good chance.
I still have mixed feelings with DP. On on hand, it did do some nice work, but a good amount of the time it was pretty dead. Also agree that the Rabblemaster has been the weak link in here. Sure he could blow out games but 99% of the time he does nothing. Im gonna start testing out Prophetic Flamespeaker in its place. To me it seems that guy might be a better fit here. With all the burn we run, the only creature he gets walled hard by is the caryatid.

Why not ditch them altogether for 4 grif?Probably -2 rabble +2 hushwing. Arc lightning becomes titans str or gods willing.
Or what about Brimaz? Is he too white? I know he's too pricey!
Here's a wacky thought - Anax and Cymede - 3/2 first striker with vigilance for 1RW

Anax and Cymede seems like it could be great in Brad Nelson's list, or any other list with Hordeling Outburst. [card]Titan's Strength[/card] and Gods Willing aren't embarrassing to play as Heroic enablers.

How much work does ride down do, in the current expected Abzan meta is it good enough for the main? Been out of constructed Magic for a few months, this might be the deck that gets me back in.

in the main? not really a fan. I like 4 hushwing in the board against a good number of matchups but game 1 Rabblemaster can just take over.
I get that it "can", but it rarely does. Junk will be on the rise, which rabble is terrible against. Play 2/2 split if you'd like, but I am convinced 4 rabblemasters is wrong.

We play RW Burn for its consistency. Take advantage of that. We can actually cast our powerful 3-drop on curve while other decks are still fumbling over their mana.in the main? not really a fan. A million times what RW said. Built one of the jeskai lists in the top 8, and played a few eight mans... certain draws are ridiculous, but I stumbled over mana in most of my games, playing things behind curve and just couldn't keep up vs a variety of things. Go back to my modified Boros Burn, and it's consistency is great, and power level isn't -all- that far behind.
That said, rabble is still a fence call. I see merits for both directions.
