I don't think it works that way if you're the leader. It's like going to a gym in Pokemon - nobody cares if you beat up on the random scrumpers loitering around - they're expected to go X-2-drop - but if the gym leader loses then that's a big deal.

If the criteria for a deck to be R/W Burn is to:

1. Play spells
2. Win
3. Piss people off

Then every goddamned deck I've ever played has been R/W Burn.

The bar I was at was just called "Sports Bar"

The people in there looked like they could've been in From Dusk til Dawn

i was referring to the hilarious time redthirst said his bouncing duties included gun fights with gang members
Shootings happen at those clubs and, when they do, Security generally shoots back... don't really know what you find so hilarious about that.
because you're lying, that makes it funny

I think it was still on International. I'm staying at the Clarion across from the Convention Center. We literally drove 2 minutes to get there

The bar was in between an Asian jack shack and a liquor store that was just called "Liquor Store"

When a place called "Massage" has posters of slutty Asian women on the outside, I have a pretty good idea about what goes on there

I learned long ago that if you've done anything remotely interesting in your life, that nobody on the internet will believe you because, gosh darn it, life is dull.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

I just X-2'd a Modern event with Burn :gonk:

My loss was just funny and I'm not even salty. The kid is playing UW Merfolk and it's game 3. He's like an Onar type - scrumpy and disheveled, possible virgin, and I suspect he has some mental disability

Anyway, he's on the play, says he'll keep, and before I can resolve my mulligan he starts shaking, breathes heavily, and drops a Leyline on the table

Swear to god, if this was Hold Em, he would've just told everyone he has the Aces

I jeep a one lander cuz it has 2 guides and a combust and since I already know he's got the Leyline, I deem it good enough

Over the course of a few turns, he drops 2 spellskites, spreading seas my lone mountain, and drops cursecatchers

Welp, if you're gonna lose, lose big I suppose

It was Khaos.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure it was more of an Amoral action then an immoral one.

He didn't piss on the guys car do to any perceived slight, he simply did so because it was there.

I'm standing next to PSully, Cedric Phillips, and Mathias Hunt while they're playing in their sealed pod

PSully turns to Hunt and bellows, "I'M GONNA BEAT THE FUCKING SHIT OUT OF YOU!! "

I ran zem's list last night and it went well except that it's still weak to lifegain strategies (someone actually ran Gray Merchant in a midrange Abzan shell). Hushwing Griffs on the board might be good if that picks up.

Trying to, but burn is horrible against big things and 3cc removals are horrible against little things. It really feels like a hole in the format. I guess we were spoiled with Dreadbore, Doom Blade and Ultimate Price...

I'm building that Japanese robots list for standard... it looks like stupid fun to play until the pro tour when the real decks will be defined.
