Not a fan of RUG in general, but I think Temur Ascendancy is one of the absolute best cards in the set to build around.
It's like a fires that feeds itself.
[deck]4 Elvish Mystic
4 Rattleclaw Mystic
4 Sylvan Caryatid
4 Goblin Rabblemaster
4 Savage Knuckleblade
4 Polukranos, World Eater
4 Stormbreath Dragon
2 Soul of Shandalar
4 Temur Ascendancy
3 Xenagos, the Reveler
23 Lands[/deck]
If you want to go...deeper
[deck]4 Elvish Mystic
4 Generator Servant
4 Rattleclaw Mystic
2 Boon Satyr
2 Fanatic of Xenagos
4 Savage Knuckleblade
4 Polukranos, World Eater
4 Stormbreath Dragon
3 Soul of Shandalar
4 Temur Ascendancy
2 See the Unwritten[/deck]

You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.
Beatdown is hard, though.

It's basically Jund monsters with Domri being raplaced by ascendancy.
This is also the shell that would gladly welcome a single x-spell.
While my inclination would be to build a value based planeswalker based deck with fatties, ascendancy very clear says creatures matter while simultaneously being naturally advantaged vs. a walker based strategy.

I'm a seasonal brewer, and I'm in season.
[deck]4 Tormented Hero
4 Gnarled Scarhide
3 Pain Seer
3 Mardu Skullhunter
4 War-Name Aspirant
4 Goblin Rabblemaster
3 Mogis's Marauder
3 Herald of Torment
3 Lightning Strike
4 Stoke the Flames
2 Sarkhan Dragonspeaker
4 Bloodstained Mire
3 Temple of Malice
4 Mountain
3 Mana Confluence
9 Swamp[/deck]
The idea of this deck is sweet, though the stokes should probably be downfalls, I'd ideally want 2/3 more 1 drops, and I should probably just play thoughtseize. Mogis warhound+rabblemaster seems strong though...

Inspired by mono-red sneak and show, I'm wondering if I can make a modern deck that plays rabblemaster on turn 1/2 consistently. Cards we're looking to jam:
Rabblemaster
mox opal
galvanic blast
simian spirit guide
springleaf drum
maybe greater gargadon
I can see something like kuldotha red with blue for ensoul artifact actually.
[deck]4 Memnite
4 Ornithopter
4 Goblin Rabblemaster
4 Simian Spirit Guide
4 Greater Gargadon
4 Galvanic Blast
4 Ensoul Artifact
4 Kuldotha Rebirth
2 Thoughtcast
4 Mox Opal
4 Springleaf Drum
4 Chromatic Star
2 Shrapnel Blast
4 Darksteel Citadel
4 Steam Vents
4 Blinkmoth Nexus
2 Scalding Tarn[/deck]

Deck is probably strictly worse then affinity, but I'm protecting my investment on rabblemasters by exploring there power across the board. At what point is this not just worse than playing actual Affinity?

I'm the best player in my group of friends, but the bar isn't that high. Talking real friends, not just random people at the lgs.
After much deliberation it was determined that I was simultaneously the manliest and the girliest person in the group which is an odd revelation, not sure if good or bad.

thanks to nbw for the sig.
You do need to try to gay it up a little more.
You're like the least gay member of this clan.
And that's counting the fact that you voluntarily have sex with men.

LP do you mean Pedro's or Purp? If you meant the latter could you link it? If not then I agree Pedros is a GREAT deck builder its a shame not many people here recognizes him because he doesn't focus on U or R.I was never into the fringe deck scene, though I can appreciate it when the deck is good and particularly sweet.
Purps deck for the WMCQ qualifies as do some of Hams decks.

I didn't go to FNM last night, and I'm glad I didn't. There were 10 people for Modern tonight and apparently it's been dropping monthly. LGS owner stated he will probably be scrapping Modern altogether, leaving us with all Standard FNM. FML. It's bad enough that there are no Legacy events here. Now no Modern? Sometimes I really hate living in the backwoods.

The community here is great but the population is just too small to support the more expensive formats.

In a sudden twist, it turns out Khaos was a gimmick of Spam all along, designed to form the FoS so that there would always be a steady stream of troll fodder
An act of trolling years in the making that will forever live in infamy
An act of trolling years in the making that will forever live in infamy
In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.
I rarely skip a Khaospawn wall of text because I know there is always piss at the end of the rainbow.
