One of our drivers got killed when another truck driving the other way somehow crossed the middle of the road and hit his lorry. The tank was empty, but had vapors and it exploded. Both drivers died carbonized.

There are always remains. There's a degasification (that a word?) process but it takes time and only performed before repairs.
