Oh I still want to play RUG Walkers, but it's going to take better removal than Crater's Claws for me to be confident running it.

I personally don't know how you can't NOT see it potentially being a thing if red gets some prime removal like Mortars.

Because it is fun, different from everything we have gotten to play recently. You can ramp into big things, do wierd shit. When you get cards like counterspells that fireball and neat Chord targets how can you NOT want to do such things.

Shit that interests me:

Stormbreath and Sarkhan in RG/naya monster type shell.

Rabble red/rabble rakdos.

GRIXIS BABY!(I haven't bothered thinking about what cards exist for the deck, but the formats opened up enough that I feel confidant I can make it work).
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

Ugin's Nexus has been a needed effect for a long time in commander. I know at least 3 people I normally play with that took one look at this card and started cursing the gods.

thanks to nbw for the sig.
You do need to try to gay it up a little more.

You're like the least gay member of this clan.

And that's counting the fact that you voluntarily have sex with men.

If that black one-drop is a Tormented Hero, we could have:

T1: Tormented Hero
T2: Mardu Skullhunter
T3: Goblin Rabblemaster
T4: Raiders' Spoils

Add various other Warriors to taste (Foundry Street Denizen, Borderland Marauder, War-Name Aspirant, and Tymaret comes to mind).

I was thinking about raider spoils, only issue is that there arn't a lot of warriors coming out of theros block, and I am not sure how much the red ones from the new set replace the black cards from previous. but could be good!

Black agro was strong, and got stronger with printing cards like Ulcerate.

And red splash would be relatively free.

BUT, the feel-good part is that one of the wins was against Ari Lax.

I was never into the fringe deck scene, though I can appreciate it when the deck is good and particularly sweet.

Purps deck for the WMCQ qualifies as do some of Hams decks.

I'm already analyzing my plays in my head. I was a little too greedy on keeping some hands, but I knew damn well I was gambling with some of them. My thinking was: if I nail a land within my next 3 draws, I have a very good chance to just steal this game with the amount of heat that I had. Knowing this going in, I can't be too mad at the outcome, but I'm kicking myself now, telling myself that I should've played it safer.

And then you just have those games where you literally have 6 Mountains on the battlefield, along with 2 Mesas, and another Mountain in hand. You crack both fetches to somewhat thin the deck a bit because your opponent is at 2 life and literally any of the 22 Burn spells left in the deck will kill him. You draw 2 more Mountains over the next 2 turns and watch in horror as your opponent draws and plays exactly what he needs to kill you. These are the games that I need to be able to let go and just know
that I did everything I could've possibly done to win. I just didn't. And that's okay because I really don't think I could've done anything differently. But I'm still mentally reviewing that game looking for anything I could've done better.

Nothing will top that mull to one I did on the draw because I never saw a land. And then I got my Skullcrack Thoughtseized....

But all was okay cuz the guy landed a Bob and proceeded to flip 3 drops and 4 drops while I topdecked a Mountain and 3 consecutive Lava Spikes to win the game.

I beat my buddy playing rabble red vs. Cleansing control when he cast 3 revs for a total of 16 over the course of the game.

The highlight was me forgetting about a jace trigger and running my mutavault into his mutavault when he was at 6. I amended the error of my ways be stocking him in response to the activation with him at 6 because I had eidolon in play.

He last breathed his mutavault to gain life :D

This was Game 1, so he didn't know what he was up against. I mean, it couldn't have happened any better - he cracked a fetch and shocked for an overgrown Tomb to play a Thoughtseize. He started at 15!

When I play jund vs. burn, I don't even bother casting it game 1.

You're story sounds like the game Conley woods lost to a burn player at worlds who mulled to something less then 4(might have been one, I don't remember).
