I think the haste might be what pushes it over the top in some sort of G/R deck. Fantasyland of turn 3 Kalonian Hydra, swing for 8, and then 16 on turn 4 sounds pretty good. There might be some sort of shenanigans with it because it doesn't require R to get the effect. Like bring it in off a BTE or Caryatid or something.Satyr Hedonist has been in Standard for awhile now but seen no play. This is a bit different since it grants haste, but a lot of 5s we'd be ramping into have haste anyway. Let's not get too excited.
The mana can be used for noncreature spells too just like Satyr Hedonist, except you don't need a green splash to play this new card.
I don't feel like this one pigeon holes you into a specific archetype as much as Hedonist
does.

It doesn't, which is why it could see play even when Hedonist did not.I don't feel like this one pigeon holes you into a specific archetype as much as Hedonist does.

That card... it looks cool but, to be honest Its not amazing. I hat to be in the sayer of nay camp, but yeah.
I remember I was getting some rabid responses like when I said: "Exava: She's not a thing" and "That phoenix is a worse version of vexing devil: It will see no play"
Just to analyze this servant card correctly, I think a couple things
1. It doesn't really have a deck "right now" Its not a red devotion card, and its not a RDW's card really (I mean you could force it but that doesn't make it a good choice), Jund which routinely accelerates into things has its acceleration plan locked down with its hexproof walls and whatnot. Its one of those things that doesn't inherently make anything better.
2. Mentioned before, but bearing reiteration, Red has nothing that it particularly wants to accelerate into. Mogis fanatic, is a card that most people are holding back on as a trump (
right, wrong, or most often circumstantially. Stormbreath Dragon is a similar cast, if playing some kind of sledgehammer-y thing you're pressuring a wrath out and playing it after; not playing it pre-wrath for 4 damage and the potential of a early removal spell. The Soul of Shittty-forgtten-plane, like most red titans in many ways he has the weakest effect of the cycle but further doesn't lend itself to being used with generator servant because a deck that wants to power out huge threats likely wants to do it consistently.
I'm won't go so far as to say its unplayable and bad, but that it requires a bit more on its own to be excited about. Come to think of it that goes for the titan as well... Hmm...
Hey LP, can you fit that titan into your devotion deck?
EDIT

Just read an article in my local newspaper about a pot festival that took place at our county fair grounds. People were mad that some of the festival goers were smoking outside of designated areas. Then the article quoted our county supervisor as saying that smoke from marijuana contains more carcinogens than from tobacco. Don't know why anyone here would care, I just thought the level of ignorance was astounding and I wanted to share.
SM, you complete me.

Word on the street is fetches confirmed.
Red ramp two drop is decent. Comparisons to hedonist are laughable as any creates get haste and the card is mono colored.
Not sure about it in devotion red but the soul gets a definite probably. Another mana sink that's strong on its own is awesome and it attacks into desecration demon for value.

Unfortunately, the generator doesn't have any particularly powerful mythos interactions put its probably great in some other shell, possibly a big red deck that gets to pay mutavaults instead.

Yeah, I wasn't gonna call you out on it, but they did confirm at PAX the fetches would be reprinted within a year, year and half or so. That would place it at either M16 (hehe like the gun...) or the next Fall set.I was trolled. Reprint won't be for about a year.
So let's all do what Maverick is doing and just look forward to the next next rotation ..
In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.
I rarely skip a Khaospawn wall of text because I know there is always piss at the end of the rainbow.

I was chatting with the ORC today, App. on the 9th (after DT, which is the 8th for most of you folk) the BETA will get a huge update so before we sharpen our pitchforks for the 16th we should wait and see how it improves
