We have PTQ same weekend, however it is in Modern and I feel prepared with my GDevotion (90% win vs Scapeshift, Jund, BG, UWR, Pod).

Went 5-3 at the PTQ this weekend; played poorly.

At 3-0 I say down against an opponent who recognised me (which happens rarely as I'm not often dressed as Spike in public). We chatted about CFB for ~5 minutes then he turn 2'd me twice with infect. Good times.

Was thinking about picking up infect in modern. So long as you draw 2 creaures, you general feel favored in most matchups.

Rdw and jund too strong though. Prophetic flamespeaker and eideilon are op red cards.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

Dolt was likely forced to download the beta which would explain his hatred of it, if you watch CFB vids you will see the old client hat most players use
Gotcha the old one it the one MDU mostly uses.
The new one... people hat that shit. When does it become mandatory? Actually fuck it google ho!
The only thing I got out of this whole exchange is that "hat" can have multiple meanings.

I mean, I hate mtgo as much as the next person but consistent misclicking shows a lack of basic mental and motor skills and not setting phases is pure user error of a system designed by an eight year old
This^

I can understand if you hate mtgo because of crashes or missing the human elements but hating mtgo for misclicking or losing would be wrong.

Nobody in here said that they hate mtgo solely for misclicking, losing, or not setting phases.

I listed those reasons third, right after missing the human element and the cost of rebuying my entire collection.

nI swear to god, half you motherfuckers in here must have some kind selective memory from the posts you read. Just like a fucking woman. Only choosing to hear, see, or remember whatever the hell you want to.

It's ramp and the fatty it helps you drop early gets haste. Not only do you get to play it sooner, you get to swing with it MUCH sooner.

Soul of Shanalar may be better. It's activated ability is only at 5. The damn thing has first strike. You can leave the dumb thing as a big wall and just bolt your opponent and bolt a creature every turn until they're dead.

Satyr Hedonist has been in Standard for awhile now but seen no play. This is a bit different since it grants haste, but a lot of 5s we'd be ramping into have haste anyway. Let's not get too excited.

The mana can be used for noncreature spells too just like Satyr Hedonist, except you don't need a green splash to play this new card.
