This is what Jack says he received on night 1. Assuming Pie wrote it, intending to send it to io2, why would he accuse io2 of being scummy directly? Jack's quoted message addresses io2 in the 3rd person instead of direct 2nd person e.g. "you are scum".

Some of you have questions for me.
1. I roleblocked MoJo. He seemed way to quiet, but now it seems pointless as he is quitting/request replacement. When Rez flipped town; I had no other ideas as Jack was supposedly protecting C_P. The lurker seemed the best target.
2. I mailed C_P. Did you get it? How did I sign my name?
3. I got mail from InflateablePie, but it seems...off.

else mailed imopen? I know someone did"); he mailed imopen. Sent mail to Jack N1 w/ alias "GGtap" (Tracker, Magic card). If I die, make him claim the 'mysterious' mail he got before telling him I sent it. Tracking Jack tonight because it's the only good move - I could track ham but we'll know who he killed (unless he's like WTF I GOT REDIRECTED but I doubt it)

I don't know how to feel about Rez flipping actual-tracker w/ a mailtracker and mailwatcher in the game. Don't think it quite incriminated Red though. Make sure there is a massclaim tomorrow. Still have newbtells on Jack, most wary of Wraith but his random roleblock claim seems town? I don't know. But I think MJ is town between the hammer and CM's breadcrumbing, no scum motivation. If you disagree, fine. But scum are probably in the PR claims now that rez flipped town, I just don't know who. Dechs/LMD might be good wagons solely because of PoE.

Why was InflateablePie killed? He created the wagon for lynching town. Why target that guy? It makes no sense. Wouldn't ham been a better target? This is really frustrating. My power told me both of those were Pie's letters. I've read about roles like "Paranoid Cop" where the power isn't reliable, but the person with the power doesn't know that. Could that be what's going on here?

So we have 3 people looking fishy. Jack for posting a possibly forged Pie letter (after Wraith ruined the GGtap bit), Wraith for ruining the GGtap bit and possibly forging his letter in concert with Jack, and you for giving impossible author results from those two letters.

Pie says he sent one to Imopen. The GGtap one only showed up after Wraith posted the letter signed by Pie that said there was a GGtap letter. But what could that even mean? And it would have to mean that my power is not reliable.

I recess for a few minutes to get ready to leave and Dechs drops a turd on us. Everything in the mail is pretty much unverifiable from night 2 as I find the mail was globally messed with. It is good to look at for data, but Dechs is a newb. Is he capable of this? I don't know. Scum could have set him up. It will be something to watch (hint to Red) overnight. I am still confused where GGtap came from. Thus the whole matter is subjective.

Even if Dechs's ability didn't exist, we would still have a fundamental issue with 3 letters being allegedly mailed by Pie.

The most obvious problem is Pie's own statement (he states that he mailed io2 night 1) directly contradicting Wraith's letter from Pie (where he states that he mailed Jack night 1).

Either Pie lied to draw out a correction from Red, or Wraith forged his night 2 letter. If Pie did lie, the whole case falls apart, and I'll be mad at him for making me tilt at windmills from beyond the grave.

If Wraith lied and forged the letter, Jack would obviously have the information needed to write a convincing fake, since there was about 10 minutes between those letters being released.

If Wraith and Jack coordinated their fake letters, they obviously did it poorly by releasing their info in the wrong order. Jack claims to have received the GGtap letter on night 1 but didn't mention it until day 3
after Wraith posted Pie's self-signed letter from night 2.

There also the differing tone of both letters, which I mentioned before, that suggests they were written by two different people.

Dechs might be an unreliable mail reader, but that makes no difference in the scenarios laid out above. This role madness stuff doesn't necessarily incriminate him, but it doesn't help.

I'm not sure. LMD is almost definitely scum, so I don't think Wraith is a scum buddy of yours. And the man in your spot before you was once in a well-accepted, very small "possible scum" pile, and I still haven't let go of the idea that your spot is likely scum.
