That's fair. I'd say Monsters has a pretty decent mono black and UWx control matchup, but its mono blue matchup is anything but good. Burn definitely beats all three of these with the most consistency.

I'm just going to keep jamming Coursers and Caryatids until they rotate because they're clearly the best cards in the block.

Technically speaking, every event you have won with burn is the australian equivalent to a U.S. SCG event.
Which is why I don't consider them relevant.

Monsters has a shot when Lifebane zombie leaves the format but who knows what we'll see. I think there will be a lot if three colour midrange.

It's a shame Burning Earth saw like 2 months of legit play. Card seemed so good, I wish it was 3 cmc.

If I had to play standard (thank god I don't) I'd play the BG midrange deck, or maybe even a bug deck. But fuck standard it's been the same three decks since rotation. This is what happens when you print a lower power block after a high power block; the new cards don't relevantly affect the format; Theros needed to be middle power to do anything; instead all the decks at the too are 70% RTR.

Been really frustrated with my edh play group lately (probably my own deck building error.). I seem to be unable to grind out wins with Nin, everyone is just winning with infinite combos. If I counter one combo, another player plays one or inevitability plays in and they play more combos and I HOPE to have a counter.

I simply don't understand why people wouldn't bathe for extended periods of time. Wonder why you can't get girls? You smell like ass and you have so much dandruff it looks like you dumped a crushed bag of potato chips on your head.

Different people simply have different priorities. For instance, if I'm going to a social gathering, I make sure I shower and put on deodorant. That's because one of my priorities is preventing noxious odors that would offend your average person's sense of smell from oozing out of my pores.

Most of the dudes from the quarterfinals upwards were actually pretty cool guys. The neckbeards generally lost in the first 2 rounds.

James, stop being stubborn, RG Monsters is a decent deck. The deck isn't great, but it IS consistent. It consistently does what it is supposed to do, and that's a big fucking deal.

There's a reason a lot of grinders play it. You exert minimal mental energy to play it. (Basically flip over the top card until you either win or lose.) It makes Swiss go by a LOT faster, and a lot easier. I haven't really played the deck lately, but I can certainly understand the appeal of wanting to play a deck that does the exact same thing every time, and doesn't give a shit about disruption.

I would actually pick it back up right about now, too. Between Banishing Light and Detention Sphere, right now is a pretty good time to be playing Stormbreath Dragon.
