Burn player on SCG live stream is playing four copies Eidolon of the Great Revel mainboard

he did just get his butt kicked in round 7 by mono black devotion tho
I'm not meaning to talk shit, but... I don't see why anyone would think that would be a good idea. I feel like its not a burn card, because all the spells in the deck cost 3 or less other like 4 warleaders helix. I took one look at it and figured I'd get locked out, never.
Obvious now I guess. I just wonder if there was some thought about it.
The idea is:

A) they remove it instantly and take 2 damage
or
B) you get a couple hits in and then they remove it, making it a super cost efficient

The problem is that vs a creature light deck like burn the opponent will most likely have instant speed removal at the ready, making situation B very unlikely to occur. I agree that burn is not the place for him. Oh yeah and he killed himself with the Eidolon in game three...
I'm suprised you took the time to respond to that half written gibberish that I wrote. Sorry, bout that was really tired.

I mean to say I thought I'd get locked out in close games almost always. Essentially the exact thing that happened in the scgopen. My thinking was in situation A. I just played a 2 mana shock so you don't really run that in burn for the same reason ash zealots aren't run in burn. Still thought I see you're point, if it hits then its money well
spent I guess.

Also, and to be sure I'm likely wrong, but I don't really like Prophetic Flame speaker (in general). It's a card that really kind of bugs me.
I'm not comfortable with any of the shells I see him in. He looks so much like 2heaed Cerberus I'm not sure where he belongs.

Is relief via anal stimulation a loop hole? Pun not intended.
Only acceptable if someone else does it for you!

So it turns out that "semi charmed kind of life" (Third eye blind) is about crystal meth, "slide" (goo goo dolls) is about abortion, and "tutti frutti" (little Richard) is about gay anal sex. The first two are very explicit about it if you check them on you tube with lyrics. Mind=blown.
I always thought that Slide was about a young couple getting married when their families didn't approve. Always heard the line as, "Do you wanna get married and run away?" instead of, "or run away." Learned something new today.

I love Slide - never had a clue what it was about, but it got me a fair amount of action back in high school.

First round i play against one of the best players at the store and he has this ridiculous Uw deck because he was next to complete idiots that passed him ridiculous shit all draft

second round i lost to godsend, because it's a fair magic card

third round a stomped a slow UB control deck

oh well, better luck next week

Continuing with the "songs I listened to in junior high" thread...

And in the end we shall achieve in time
The thing they call divine
And all the stars will shine for me
When all is well and well is all for all
Forever after
Living in the meantime wait and see

We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you

And when I cry for me I cry for you
With tears of holy joy
For all the days still to come
And did I ever say I'd never play
Or fly toward the sun
Living in the meantime something's gone

We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you

Well that sounds fine so I'll see you sometime
Give my love to the future of the humankind
Okay, okay, it's not okay.
While it's on my mind there's a girl that fits the crime
nFor a future love dream that I'm still to find
But in the meantime.

We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you

We love the all the all of you
Where lands are green and skies are blue
When all in all we're just like you
We love the all of you

We love the all the all of you
Our lands are green and skies are blue

Just like you,
Just like you.
Just like, just like
Just like you,
Just like you.
Just like, just like
Just like you.

Zem has moved on to the big leagues. His time here in the minors will be remembered fondly. Let us hope that he does not forget where he came from and that he'll remember the mouth breathers that helped (not really) him a long the way.

RIP FoS Zem

LONG LIVE CFB ZEM!
I'm still around now and then. Probably will be more active when I go back to playing standard; also still wearing my FOS shirt proudly at events.

My Gifts deck doesn't do anything nearly that powerful, but it also doesn't lose too badly to combo either. :\

There's no way that Gifts deck will work

I know this because myself and i-never-smile tried every version of BUG and RUG Gifts with hours and hours of testing together

That list and it's piles are too slow and way too fair. I can't think of a single deck it would have a good game one match against.

I would gladly play against any gifts deck with burn.... i even beat a guy that end of turn gifted for spellskite, timely reinforcements, circle of protection red and pulse of the fields (post sideboard game, he knew before the event i as on burn so he planned his sideboard accordingly) i give him spellskite and circle of protection. He is at 6 life and have plenty of mana so plays both spellskite and circle. I play boros charm (can't be redirected to spellskite) , he tries to use circle of protection but i also have skullcrack (damage can't be prevented). He was really angry XD
That said, I think gifts is a really fun card to play.

Zem, your Gifts deck sure does look versatile... just not especially powerful.

Also, what do you do when someone drops Leyline of the Void (or is that just not a Modern Sideboard card?)?

So I found the next pet card I want to try in commander: spike cannibal.

Local meta is chock full of decks that make heavy use of +1/+1 counters, especially vorel of the hull clade and marath. The fact that it becomes an enormous critter is just gravy, the meat is the massive powerdown all across the board.

You're like the least gay member of this clan.
