If Ajani then going all in on counter for some crazy bant deck.
Probably with some combos inside.
Fanthom Mage + Archangel of Thune + Horizon Chimera
Ajani + Fanthom Mage
Sage of Hours + Ajani + Vorel
Ajani + Gyre Sage
Vorel + Fanthom Mage
Vorel + Gyre Sage
Courser of Krupnix + Archangel of Thune
scavenging Ooze + Archangel of Thune
Notice how Ajani makes all those draw for counters or mana for counter better? ALL HAIL TO COUNTERS

You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.
Beatdown is hard, though.

So Spite of Mogis is not that good, but I see a fun Modern Deck with:
Satyr Firedancer
Searing Blood
Blood Moon (Maybe)
Skred
Lightning Bolt
Goblin Guide
Isochron Scepter
Steam Augury
Snapcaster mage
An artifact that gives shroud, Hexproof, or indestructable
Red in it FetchLands
Snow Mountains
Steam Vents
A few counter and draw spells.
Would I play this? I don't know, but it might be a cool 1 on 1 deck.

Check this out! An 8th grader made this with oil paints and a board. It was posted for viewing at the county library.
There were about 120 more from school kids and they beat the top artists by a mile.

Just finished an interesting game three vs Jund Monsters with me piloting Ross RG Aggro.
Opponent taps his two Caryatid to Dreadbore my last dude on board and taps out his mana to play Polukranos while at a comfortable 11 life. I have five mana on board.
My turn: Act of Treason targeting Polukranos. Armed targeting Polukranos. Swing 12? Trollface?
Them feels. I haz them.

Wonder what the implications of the new City of Brass will be on the metagame. Makes three-color decks a LOT more enticing and two-color decks a lot more consistent. Also makes Mutavault an auto four-of in aggressive decks that were initially running 0-3.

I love how people are like "OMG I'm so glad my opponent can't turn City Of Brass against me this card is so good!"
...seriously, does that happen in Real Magic? I feel like this isn't going to change anything. Decks that wanted City will play this instead, decks that didn't want City aren't going to change.

Do you think Mana Confluence will allow to play heavy 2 color agro decks such as RB, GW, BG and WR? That was main thing that stopped those deck -> terrible manabase with awsome creatures that needed double mana in the same curve (boon satyr and brimaz for example), or good 1 drops in 2 colors (experiment and soldier)

I know right? how good will mana bases be then? r/w burn with 12 legit duel lands? esper packing perfect mana? jund monsters packing perfect mana all of which hurt them.....makes me want to really think Burning earth may make a come back in a big way.Very pleased with Mana Confluence. Waiting to see what the pre-order price will be. Hoping it won't be too bad. I don't want to wait until the price drops.
I swear to God, every thread we make falls victim to Godwin's law except instead of Hitler it's redthirst's piece.
