It works just fine, and people live without it just fine.I like meat, and I don't think we're meant to life without it.Hence the vegan suggestion.

thanks to nbw for the sig.
You do need to try to gay it up a little more.
You're like the least gay member of this clan.
And that's counting the fact that you voluntarily have sex with men.

Less carbs (like 50g a day) + mild caloric restriction + exercise. Get at me via message if you want details. I don't do anything fancy but I manage to stay in really good shape without trying.

There's a paleo podcast I listen to, they covered paleo for diabetics in a recent episode. check it outI can't really, dangerous for diabetics. You can have uncounterable low blood sugars that land you in a coma if you have no sugars stored in your liver.

I'm neither fat nor do I claim to know anything other what has worked for me in the past. 6'1" and 190lbs isn't fat, and before I started eating animal products again I weighed in at 170lbs (from 250lbs before I started).why is it always the fat people who pretend to know the most about dieting

I'm having a hard time accepting the fact that I lost a game for second place at FNM to a new player that was so clumsy that he dropped cards he was holding several times, dropped his mana base onto the floor at least four times, kept asking me if he played land the first game, knocked over his deck picking up his pen, and kept accidentally taking my cards to put into his graveyard. I had to mull down to 5 both games and was only able to get one removal each game. Game one he had two Firefist Strikers and a Hammer so you can imagine how that game went. Game two he went two BTE, a Reckoner, Fanatic, and two Stormbreaths. Everyone he played were visibly upset losing to the guy (he finished 5-1, losing his only game due to thinking an inactive Purphoros could block).

I went 3-1 at FNM running Rw burn. I lost to mono black in the first round. I don't mind losing but the guy rubbed me off the wrong way.
I know that it's legal to shuffle your opponent's deck, but the guy would sit there mashing shuffling my deck in the weirdest way for a few minutes after every mulligan/hand. He would split the deck in half, then mash the top 1/4th of one pile into the bottom 1/4th of the bottom pile. Then after that, he would take the top 1/3rd of the deck, grab the next 1/3rd, but the top part down and then put the middle part down. I got the impression he was trying to cut/shuffle me into bad hands (he was successful).
The other matches were good though. Had a stupid hard game 3 against mono-blue devotion. I was able to take it because I was able to sneak in about 6 or 8 damage with a mutavault.

Speaking of diets, I've gained 10 pounds since my wife got pregnant. Turns out her cravings for pizza and milkshakes have had an adverse effect on my health. No big deal though. I've been known to lose 10 pounds in a pretty short time when I put my mind to it.

L_D, I feel you man. Just got diagnosed with untyped diabetes (endocrinologist says 1.5 but wont make it official until my next tests) in July after being admitted for DKA. I've found that if its a diet(ie something I'll do for a bit to reach a goal), it won't work for me. Needs to be a life style change thing. I've dropped from 275 to 240 from basically just taking my basal insulin and cutting out anything that comes from a box, also helps that the wife is allergic to high fructose corn syrup so there's not a lot of junk food in the house now anyway.
You might want to try looking at a Community Supported Agriculture type deal to see if there are any in your area of Japan. Getting farm fresh vegetables and meat delivered to your door makes eating not crap a lot easier. If time to actually make food is a problem for you like it was for me, buying a second bigger slow cooker so I can toss ingredients in when I leave
for work and just have it slow cook for the 8-10hrs I'm at work means I get come home to a house that smells like food and a meal that isn't full of garbage.
A lot of it does go back to what Z said, cut calorie intake by a bit until you reach your goal weight, exercise 30mins to 2hrs a day, drink at least 64oz of water (check with your dietitian tho, I was on 128oz a day originally), aim for 7-8hours of sleep a day, and don't eat garbage. That will get you a lot of the way there, and then its just making upgrades when/where you can as you are comfortable. Grabbing the whole wheat instead of white bread, getting a pita instead of bread, using lettuce instead of bread etc etc. I'm probably paeloish, I've moved to majority protein and veggies but still keeping homemade breads. Why? Because I enjoy it. If you hate your dietary restrictions, you won't follow them, so adjust where needed.
Blood sugar management at long events can be tough tho, I've started bringing 2 big water bottles otherwise I
buy soda and my sugar slowly climbs till I can't focus correctly. There's also a protein bar and some apple juice in my bag for any event where I might miss a meal or have crappy food choices.
Finding an eating plan that works for you is a process, and sometimes not an easy one. Ask your dietician for advice if you have one, if not, trial and error is the world's oldest teacher.

Anyone who mash shuffles someone else's deck deserves to the bottom of their large intestine slashed out of their abdomen and shoved down their throat, and thus be a human ouroboros. The only times I see dragon sheilds split is when some hamfisted lowgrade moron bashes the two halves together. sadly the judge ruled that you are allowed to do that, and if you split their sleeves you are not reponsible in any way. I may "mash shuffle" my deck, but I am exceedingly careful about doing so, but these idiots are seriously putting a lot of exertion into battering my sleeves. One dim jackass (on whom I called the judge) actually split 10 sleeves in one mash, destroying 15 that match, and no penalty, and he did shit like that every match. The next week I slashed 2 of his tires and pissed in his gas tank, and most of us switched to penny sleeves. He stopped showing up after that. It's probably for the best because thatI went 3-1 at FNM running Rw burn. I lost to mono black in the first round. I don't mind losing but the guy rubbed me off the wrong way.

first time I got banned from the store for the day after all the shit I said to him (and it was heinous, it would have been a hate crime if he wasn't white and straight, like full on gunnery sgt. Hartmann laced with insinuations of him being conceived after his mother fucked a donkey at a mexican circus, along with unsubtle encouragement for ending his own life). Yeah, I was full tilt, but even now I still think I was too nice to him.

Damn DS. Damn. From the second game onward I did the same thing to him. I would shuffle his deck for as long as he shuffled mine (I think I split a few of his old sleeves in the process). I've played with a few guys that shuffle your deck but they only give it 3 or 5 mashes and call it good. With this dude, I didn't get to play my first mountain until the people next to us had finished theirAnyone who mash shuffles someone else's deck deserves to the bottom of their large intestine slashed out of their abdomen and shoved down their throat, and thus be a human ouroboros. game 1.
If it weren't for the impression that he was trying to game my deck through overly elaborate shuffling and cutting, I wouldn't have been annoyed.
