Damn, stardust was the town doc and played the gambit as well. O_o
I hate it when players make claims though.
@Red, I finally discovered stardust is a he, and will vote the last target he had a bead on.
VOTE Void
Will be on the road for the rest of the day driving home from Dallas as I passed all my test from the Dallas Pd for now.

Wraith is scum. (dat vote)
I think he is ice, too.
And have a couple posts to point to it.
Thoughts?

You post on dtr? Cool? Honestly, I don't know who posts there and who doesn't.
I actually read that site quite a bit but its mostly because a lot of the people I used to interact with on MTGS are over there.
It should be a privilege to post here

Sure, Unvote.
So far I have been wrong about who I thought was Scum except G_R, but he was just a notion of doubt.
I picked who was town on the slaughter block fairly well. Everything about Fate screamed scum to me, but I was wrong.
So lets do a break down of who is left.
1. Zem, has pretty much voted anyone on the chopping block. (could be team ice)
2. Red, Very vocall to leave the stink of C.M. behind. (still don't trust him. (Could be fire)
3. Void, Voted G_R in the right moment, thus could be Fire.
4. Rez, very quiet and challenges everyone. He is my serious pick for scum as he has lurked most of the game and no one has challenged him. He is the first to say I am scum Ice, thus he is the first to cast the first stone day 4.
5. Wraith- I said Suga was not scum. Since EVERY scum pick
I threw out is wrong (except G_R), it appears I am the dumb ass Scum has chosen to leave behind. Damn, did we get the retard town (including me) this game or what?
Who do I think is town? Me and Zem. Thus I am going to give return fire to Rez.
Vote Rezombad

Ok, so you've voted for Void putting him at L-2 and he hasn't got insta-hammered, so either him or you (or both? what kind of mind games could you be playing here?) are Ice.
Note taken.
Then Rezmo - who pretty much played the same way in Theros mafia while being town, mind you - questions your alignment and you INSTANTLY vote him by sheer OMGUS.
And, GUESS WHAT, he survives getting insta-hammered by Ice as well, despite how foolishly you put him at L-2 once again.
Now, you're either too stupid for basic math, or you know something we don't.
I guess you're a good target for now, but I want to know what Zem thinks of this.

Game is pretty much over for town and I sqrewed up with Stardust and Fate. Red is really trying hard to seem the kingpin of posts from now on to move the game in whatever directio he sees fit. Rez is pointing to me to get the votes going. I am town and am being picked on just like Suga was. Not offended by this in the slightest as scum has played a great game. Scum pretty much has it in the bag, but it will be a fight with fire team left alive.
I am holding my vote on Rez and will not change as I think he is Ice. Ice has played a very quiet, controled game and Rezhas done so the entire game.
@Red, I voted in return fire cause it sounded like a good idea and still is. I wish people would stop using "OMGUS", "TOTES", and other retarded acronyms as it gives the impression you are a 15 year old, female, highschooler. It just sounds stupid. You have seen my over zelous responses before in Theros, thus
by these posts; I have not said any stupid emotional responses (only stupid reads).
Feel free to vote as I am town, but fire team must know this fact. Ice gets one nightkill, thus you better work with town or die.
Rez, Void, or Red vote sounds good to me. Rez is the stronger one in my opinion which has been wrong in the past.

Sorry for the delay - site hiccuped last night when I first tried to post. v.v
---
As deliberations reached the forth consecutive day, tensions began to reach unbearable levels.
They were tired, broken, saddened individuals. The last three days had held more death and disappointment than they had ever wished to know. But the end would justify the means. They would not be lost for nothing. Those who had passed through Heaven's door would not be forgotten. Their deaths would not go to waste.
This day the town of Peaceville had to get it right. For today, a mistake could mean defeat.
It was Wraith223 who pointed the first finger. With a passion and fervor unmatched by any in the room, he stood up and shoved rezombad out of his chair. He knew this thing to be the scum he was. He could feel it in his bones - and he
would no longer let him make a fool of his town by being present at this meeting.
Others found themselves apprehensive; fearful of that crucial misstep, some time passed until zemanjaski threw his support in that same direction.
Surely this was correct. This had to be. It just felt so right. The citizens of the town were more sure than ever of this being one they sought.
As the remaining townies ultimately agreed upon their victim, a sound emerged from the corner of the room.
"Gentleman, it's been lovely spending oh-so-much time with you all these last couple days...but I do believe the time has come to put an end to this."
In the corner, holding the ceremonial spade that had taken the life of several people that very same week, RedNihilist approached the now subdued rezombad.
"I'd like to...well...we'd like to thank you kindly for finding the last of the
rubbish for us. I can tell you already you were on the right track; it's a shame you were in the wrong traincar this whole time, eh?"
With a smile that belied any bit of remorse his face falsely shown, RedNihilist raised the spade above his head and brought it down upon rezombad's neck.
Blood, sadness, anger, fear, loss, regret...
...and such bitter, bitter coldness.
"Now that that's out of the way, your services are no longer needed. I'm sorry, but there is no place for you folk in my city."
rezombad was lynched Day 4! He was a Fire Mafia Goon.
A win condition has been achieved!
zemanjaski, Vanilla Townie, has been endgamed!
Wraith223, Vanilla Townie, has been
endgamed!
The Ice faction of Void and RedNihilist has won the game!

What hell @ this game. *flips desk*
I was totally planning on making my case on Wraith (who was Town, yes, but it would have generated discussion) that Thursday, but you guys speed lynched...someone. Grr.
One thing:
From the spec forum: well that's 3 wins as scum followed by 2 losses as town for me. hopefully we're starting to get some meta on the site and town can get stronger.
You guys have GOT to stop relying on meta so much. A LOT of players do the same things regardless of alignment, so it is nowhere near reliable enough to be so popular.
Also, I totally called CM off one post.

Don't be too hard on yourself. Wraith just read as very genuine; he just picked the wrong scum but it's not like there was anything he could do differently. Definitely his best played game so far.

holy shit this game
Just so everyone knows I generally like discussions about target choices as town, and it bit me in the ass when manders applied pressure. Manders just knows me too well, my first game ever was one hosted by her!

It's too bad we don't have a secret subforum where we can coordinate troll attempts where only we can see so that we don't have to catch on because only one of us is an actual rocket scientist.

Interesting game, but to many dragged their feet or did not post enough. I should have stuck with my vote on Void. Scum played a hell of a game. Manders was dead on with C.M., but you should have pushed the vote harder on him instead of pick a fight with me.
Stardust played a great gambit but I pushed to hard. Sorry.
Good job Kaze. The game was intense in some moments.

I'm glad I didn't ask for spoilers. It was nice to keep spectating and trying to figure out the setup, but being unable to post was occasionally infuriating. Red, I had you as for-sure scum (and probably Ice) within your first few posts in the last day, but I still thought you played well. You reminded me of Iso in the last few days of Theros (serving as the voice of reason), which lead me to try and read you harder and eventually find scummy motives.
Wraith, I really didn't like how you kept calling me a distraction after I flipped town. It did nothing to advance the game, and gave me the impression that you were thinking in a very closed-minded way and just trying to put a label on people. You really can't look at anything in this game as just black or white (aside from what the mod tells us). Additionally, I wasn't trying to be a distraction to the cases on the other potential scum. I wanted to divert the focus
of the game towards them more than anything else.
Zem, I was legitimately surprised when I found that you were town. I felt that your case against me was very aggressive and based upon very little (at least early on. Your view on my alignment changed very drastically after just one of my posts), and while I know you to be aggressive, it seemed to me as if you were just trying to get a quick lynch on a somewhat inexperienced player who made a slip. You became increasingly less scummy as the game progressed, but I still thought you were scum due to the elimination of the other town spots.

Who'd you save Night 1? Who'd you doc the Night you got killed? And what was your reasoning behind it? If I was in your position, I'd probably have just chosen myself (scum would probably want to test your claim; they have nothing to lose), but you've been playing for a lot longer than I have and must have found a very good target.Sorry for sucking so much, townies. Good game all the same. Congrats to the Ice and thanks to Kaze!

Kaze's mod notes (linked above) have the details, but I didn't save anyone Night 1. Ice failed to put in a kill (this is why the CaptainWho'd you save Night 1? Who'd you doc the Night you got killed? And what was your reasoning behind it? If I was in your position, I'd probably have just chosen myself (scum would probably want to test your claim; they have nothing to lose), but you've been playing for a lot longer than I have and must have found a very good target.Sorry for sucking so much, townies. replaced out).
I targeted Manders, rezombad, rezombad. My reasoning was that I was reading them as town (second only to Wraith, but there was no way he was going to be targeted for the kill). I wanted to target Manders Night 3, but she hadn't put up enough of a showing to really solidify herself as town in later Days, and after Fate flipped town her experience had me worried. Right after my death annoucement I knew I'd been wrong to target rezmo.
Despite the wording in my role PM, I couldn't target myself. I confirmed that with Kaze soon after receiving my role (because it doesn't specify that I can't). I tried to drop some hints that I could throughout the game to throw the scum off, but that was nothing more than set up for more gambitry. I'd considered claiming a self-protect Night 1 to see who came back to call me out on it (basically, to see who went out of their way to PM Kaze to confirm), but never got put into that position anyway.
"... scum would probably want to test your claim;
they have nothing to lose" - They did have something to lose: my mislynch. Neither scum team believed my Doc claim. They both believed they could push me to lynch once the real doc outed themselves.

As scum in this game, I'm gonna say that I saw the doc's role as pretty much useless. I was trying to hit Ice Mafia each night, so I was definitely aiming for most scummy, and I don't think any doc would use "most scummy" as protecting criteria. But now that it's over, I will admit that it was a good factor to deal with, because bumping heads with Ice and the Doctor definitely had an influence.
That explains why people keep coming over for chicken nuggets

Give you some honest feedback from where I am sitting. Bear in mind that I am a bit of a mafia neophyte myself.
Zem, I was legitimately surprised when I found that you were town.
Two things to keep in mind:I felt that your case against me was very aggressive and based upon very little (at least early on. Your view on my alignment changed very drastically after just one of my posts), and while I know you to be aggressive, it seemed to me as if you were just trying to get a quick lynch on a somewhat inexperienced player who made a slip.
- I am not going to call someone out on early small things that indicate scum; doing so stops any chance of them making a real slip, or stops me building a case by them
accumulating enough small tells - it also forces them to correct their play. You made a LOT of small tells that told me you were concerned with how you were perceived by others; this is typically a good scum tell because only scum should care how they look to others; Town should only care about catching scum. That you then reinforced this behaviour with things like "I am acting like I did in the other game where I was Town" and "yeah, I was trying hard to act Town" don't help.
- You'll often see a case start out pretty weak to fish for more information (not necessarily from the subject of the case). Sometimes you need more pressure than a vote (or at least different pressure). Reactions to pressure are very telling and again, your response was to become extremely self conscious. Now, ordinarily I would have considered that you're super new and noob town can be hard to differentiate from scum; but a few things you said were just too self aware.
Also consider that most of the
people on your wagon were Town, so there was some validity to my argument, and try not to fall into the trap of "someone is making a case against me, they must be scum". There's no reason for scum to openly and aggressively go after someone like I went after you. While some scum will do that (its very hard through), most prefer to take a more passive role, which is what we saw from all 4 scum in this game. Remember that too.
Shouldn't it have become more likely I was scum as the ratio of scum players in the remaining pool increased proportionately? You became increasingly less scummy as the game progressed, but I still thought you were scum due to the elimination of the other town spots.

I had it in my mind that you were first-time scum. In DTR, you were aggressive as town and downright bloodthirsty as SK, giving me reason to believe that you would also be incredibly bloodthirsty as scum.Give you some honest feedback from where I am sitting. What I was trying to say was that your actions made you look less scummy, but the numbers increased your chances of being scum.
