When money is tight I mostly grind them out in 4-3-2-2 drafts because the competition is so bad. Otherwise Standard and Sealed Dailys are good. Like i02, I just discovered that second place in the 8 mans earn you one, which seems like an incredibly fast way to grind them.
Standard hobos who play budget garbage should be looked upon with suspicion.

What Ham said, SE (8-Man) are the fastest way to get QP but the EV is horrible so I wouldn't recommend it unless your confident in your win ratio. DE are much better for going inf. and gaining come QP along the way.
I use to farm QPs purely on DE (its very possible) but due to time constraints I've been restricted to SE lucky for me my win ratio is good enough to keep me in the green.

Ok I manage to squeeze in time for one event today which netted me (02/35 QP) this season MOCS3 will be extremely tight due to RL so I almost need to win everything I play (or spend the weekends purely playing magic... which would probably drive me insane).
Its for Sealed (which is fun) and alt art battleskull which should fetch for bit.
p.s. if anyone here plays TNM online and wins alt art Warleader Helix - PM me an offer (if only TNM offered 2-3 QPs I would jump on it). . .

Man... I also love Modern, due too its nature its one of the more rewarding formats when its come down to sequencing.Sweet, better grind for MOCS4 next month, Modern is my jam.
The only issue is that I can't seems to get myself to part with my tickets to purchase a decent deck, why must Junk/Jund be so expensive

I've been on MTGO for 6 months now and I'm noticing that there is lots of opportunity to make tix simply by buying at the right time; the prices on everything that is stable in Modern dropped after last season but is climbing again - I got Damping Matrix @ 50c, it's at nearly 5 tix. Grim @ 50c, it's @ 3.5. Scalding Tarn dropped to 17 after last season, I'm sure it will hit 25 again. With these % rates of return investing on MTGO makes more financial sense than putting your money in the bank!Yea, a few weeks ago I dropped $200 for liliana's and now they're worth 300

Yea. I just need to know when to sell...I kinda want to hold onto the lilianas since I might need them for modern but at the same time I don't want them to lose value

Went 4-0 in my Phantom Football Sealed event. (Future Sight, Odyssey, Onslaught, Time Spiral, Betrayers, Alara Reborn, Lorwyn, and Legions.)
Most fun I have had in Limited in a while. My deck had so much absurd synergy.
[deck]
1 Escape Artist
1 Disciple of Malice
1 Narcomoeba
1 Blind Phantasm
1 Fleeting Aven
1 Mistblade Shinobi
1 Mistform Wall
1 Mistbind Clique
1 Marsh Flitter
1 Bane of the Living
1 Covert Operative
1 Okiba-Gang Shinobi
1 Mulldrifter
1 Trickery Charm
1 Toils of Night and Day
1 Cancel
1 Soul Manipulation
1 Faerie Tauntings
1 Eradicate
1 Foresee
1 Repel
1 Weed Strangle
1 Cruel Revival
1 Fool's Demise
8 Island
8 Swamp[/deck]
Almost every card in the deck combo's with something else.

I have a bad RB pool in this phantom football sealed. I'm 0-1. I can attest it is quite fun, however.

you win shitty mirrodin block packs in those things
i lost in a mirrodin 8-4 that has lsv in it
then lost in another one that had owen t. in it
my decks were horrible, i didn't play back then, no idea how to draft that block blindly

Didnt you said sometimes ago you have impressive amount of packs yourselves? That is an impressive stash Pedros, the only problem is that its going to take a long time until they hit 3.9 in value (wizard sells the pack at 4, so people won't buy them from you for 4) how are you staying inf. without selling anything (esp. since you tend to buy every single deck known to man)?
And I dont buy every single deck known to man, I just have friends who might lend me some cards if I need them and they are not using them - I borrowed UW control for example or confidants for modern.
As for packs price - yeah they are not going to go for for 4, but they might go for
close to 4 (3,8 or 3.9). Draft sets costs around 10 tixes most of the times, and BtG doesnt look good - looks similar to DKA, so price should be similar Also notice draft use 2 Theros and 1 BtG, and next set would also use Theros, while prizes would be 4-4 and 3-2-3. That means there will be not enough theros packs
