Played in a 3k that got downgraded to a 2k today and split top 4 out of 80.

Playing RW devotion of course though minus the one drops. Not cause I think they're bad, but cause I needed spice in my life.

Highlight of the tournament was definitely Vidi quotes:

"Cash 9/11 gps, can't win fnm or top 8 bullshit tournaments like this. Definitely getting 1499 PW this season."

"They should have said park in front of the paninni place. That assehole wouldn't let me park in the back."

"You where talking about the lion king? I thought you said 'Move faster', not Mufasa"

List:

[deck]4 Ash Zealot
4 Burning-Tree Emissary
4 Frostburn Weird
4 Boros Reckoner
4 Fanatic of Mogis
4 Stormbreath Dragon
2 Purphoros, God of the Forge

2 Chandra, Pyromaster
2 Hammer of Purphoros

3 Chained to the Rocks
2 Jizzium Mortars

Lands:
2 Boros Guildgate
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Temple of Triumph
n4 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
11 Mountain

Sideboard
3 Assemble the Legion
2 Boros Charm
2 Wear//Tear
2 Last Breath
1 Glare of Heresy
1 Chain to the Rocks
1 Mizzium Mortars
1 Hammer of Purphoros
2 Anger of the Gods[/deck]

Played against R/g pseudo mirror, the RW token deck from the SCG open(Vs. Vidi), Shouta UB control, Orzhov Aggro x2, Mono-blue. Id round 7, beat my 1 loss from the swiss in top 8(1 of the Orzhov agro players) and we prize split top 4 at 225 each.

Top 8 was RW devotion, Orzhov aggrox2, BW midrange, Naya Hexproof, Naya midrange, Mono-red agro, Pyro Red.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

Persona 4 is enough to validate vita on its own, the Corpse Party series is really good but its acquired taste since its really dark.

I just finish it now, so I'm gonna go buy the 2nd one

I own the first one. Dat cover of Nothing Else Matters is sick. Iron Horse does good work. They managed to make me like my favorite Metallica song, The Four Horsemen, even more.

As I dont have possiblity to post in Mono Black Agro Thread somewhere for clan members I will post it here:

http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/A ... 14/welcome

[deck]
Land
20 Swamp
4 Mutavault

Creatures
4 Tormented Hero
4 Pack Rat
4 Agent of the Fates
4 Nighthowler
4 Gray Merchant of Asphodel

Other Spells
4 Thoughtseize
4 Wring Flesh
3 Underworld Connections
2 Hero's Downfall
3 Gift of Orzhova

Sideboard
4 Dark Betrayal
3 Duress
4 Doom Blade
4 Pharika's Cure
[/deck]

Guy won Trial with this deck. What is interesting for me is the fact that this deck uses powerful heroic card in Agent of the Fates, which is fine on his own (3/2 Deathtouch is fine), however it gets much better with powerful bestow in Nighthowler (in Block Constructed you can see the
power of this guy, where you bestow it on any crappy creature and it needs imediate answer... and then you have nighthowler back).

Why I am interesting in this? Because We get another powerful bestow creature in Herald of Torment, so we dont have to run (imo) crappy Wring Flesh or (less crappy) Gift of Orzhova to trigger heroic.

This deck also have reach in form of Gray Merchant and Underworld Connections, which should be important in Black dominated metagame.

Sure it will. Your goal is to pass time and have fun, right?

My next recommendation is to play Final Fantasy 2 (or 4, or whatever the fuck it's called) instead, because Cecil and Kain are awesome.

I really wish that they would've attempted to make a sequel for that game. And there were so many cool references to other games, like Final Fantasy (Culex? And the FF 2(4) fight theme!?), that just made the story better. I actually found myself replaying over and over again after I'd beaten it just for the fun factor.

Mario RPG is what got me into RPGs at a young age. God Bless that fat Italian.
I remember the "intro" into RPGs was supposed to be Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. It was an okay game. I'd actually say the music was better than the story/gameplay.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUGDp39srk0

When I played Super Mario RPG, I was like, "THIS is what everybody should start out on!" Well, it's either between that or Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

But with all that said, Final Fantasy 2 (4) was the first "real" RPG I played where I sank hours into leveling up, really exploring areas, and just loving the crazy story.

If I had to rank my top 4 all-time favorites, it'd be
this:

1) Final Fantasy 2(4)
2) Super Mario RPG
3) The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
4) The Secret of Mana

Edit: If anyone considers Super Metroid an RPG, I'd happily post that as my number 5.
