If this card were a 2/1, I think it would be pushed "enough" to be a reasonable contender for constructed play. A 1/1 for 2 doesn't really apply pressure and is depressingly slow against aggro (so now you get to use lightning strike on your opponent too I guess? that's neat but eats up a whole card in your deck to do that), it also doesn't do anything against bigger creatures.
Depending on the number of small creatures, etc, this card seems "fine" to bad, but it does a think that other cards don't and mAYBE THIS NOVEL EXPERIENCE WILL SHOW US HOW POWERFUL THE EFFECT IS!
