[BNG] Ephara, God of the Polis
Indestructible
As long as your devotion to white and blue is less than seven, Ephara isn't a creature.
At the beginning of each upkeep, if you had another creature enter the battlefield under your control last turn, draw a card.

Commander material. Standard play...
Maybe Bant could use it, but it is just to slow for the investment.

Good with Verdant Force...
Not sure this is really all that good in EDH even. I feel like I'd rather have Concentrate in most cases rather than wait 4 turns to draw the same 3 cards.
Probably at it's best in Bant. Prophet of Kruphix, Derevi, that kind of thing is what's needed to make this really good.

It does look aesthetically pleasing. But the card draw is unlikely, because if this is played on the 4th turn, having 7 devotion seems unlikely, if not impossible (ok, soldier, then 2x precinct captains on turns 2 and 3 works), but then you dont actually start drawing cards until turn 6? it says "another creature" so that seems a large two turn investment for 1 card... maybe just play inspiration? And the 6/5 body really doesnt deal with what agro decks struggle with - board wipes.
Standard: No thanks. A game based on who can curve out the best doesnt really appeal to me.
Modern: Jund. dabbling on the side with esper mentor and grixis delver. I miss treasure cruise
Legacy: Not even I hate myself that much

Ephara's interaction with The Lion King is pretty sweet.
T3- Play King
T4- Play Ephara; swing King, get kitty
t4.5- Draw from Ephara; maybe get to block, get kitty

redthirst is redthirst, fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse. He was the leader of the Fires of Salvation, the only clan I'm aware of to get modded off the forums so hard they made their own forums.
Degenerate? Sure. Loudmouth? You bet. Law abiding? No ****ing way.
Great guy to have around? Hell yes.
I love the D...
