Remand is so baller in those kind of decks. But you definitely want some number of Mana Leak in the list. I like three. Four Remand is too many in a list without Young Pyromancer.

Tron decks don't care. There are 2 I regularly deal with. Boooooooo!Mana Leak is much better than Remand. What the hell?
I might keep 3 remand and one mana leak for one Runechanter Pike. What makes Remand so good is the draw condition.

Remand is usually fine because, until the game gets really long, your spells are really only good if you can cast them when you want to. This is especially true vs. aggro decks. Say you're playing against Soul Sisters. They're on the draw, and lead with a turn 1 sister. They have a Spectral Procession and Ajani's Pridemate in hand. This is one of the 2 best starts that the deck is capable of. However, if you Remand the Pridemate, you've done enough to stop their plan, since they probably won't drop it until turn 4, since Procession is usually the better turn 3 play. (after all, they want to keep their life total as high as possible for Ascendant topdecks, and you've just threatened them with a Geist).

Have play set of Regular from Waaaaayyyyy back. I had 6 play sets of them and did not know why. It's like every pack I opened had one. I cashed some of them in today. Have a foil playset, but not the promos. I prefer stalling their conditions and drawing a card cause then they have to think again how to play what's in their hand. Mana Leak is good to but it can be a late game blow out for me if I can't counter Karn, Olivia, or Chord of Calling. It's a meta call and I can see both sides of argument as being right.Actually, disregard that. Remand sucks, shouldn't cost $15, and freedom needs two more copies for Blue Tron. I'll take them off your hands for $5 before the price plummets when people realize that they're bad.
Did any of you
see that awesome new Demon, Herald of Torment. Pre-ordered for $2 each cause I want them for my deck. Bestow a Mutuvault for the win!

That card shocked the hell out of me. 3/4 body for cmc3 with an offensive and defensive ability. Would love him in the sideboard for Big Boros to bring in against aggroI know right? Looks really annoying too.reminds me of hero of bladehold, but more defensive. So the Lion King was printed as a card...

I love raised by wolves! Not a great card, but so cool. I've been mulling over a wolf token casual deck for a while, and this is just the thing I need for [card]wren's run packmaster[/card] to push it over the edge. Also the spoiler video is awesome http://loadingreadyrun.com/videos/view/ ... oiler-Card, pretty much my exact thoughts when I saw the card (only I pictured an elf not a cat).
Also the felhide spiritbinder is interesting as a sort of "fixed" kiki jiki.

Like I said, it's gets boring facing the same stuff all the time.
That's why I like my lgs, there's a lot of competitive players running t1 decks, but i also get to play against random brews and have fun games against weird things.
I mean, last week I went up against a g/w aggro and at one point he had 41 life to my 1, and I managed to win. Or the r/u/g deck where game 3 we played speed-magic cause we were running out of time, and just had a removal-fest that went slow despite our best efforts.
But when the 'top-deck' stays the same so long, it just gets a bit boring at bigger tournies.
Though I will say I like that the new kill stuff all requires double black. Makes me hopeful that b/w will afde back to mono-black, thus making bbv and ghost dad less frequent, cause fuck those guys
Actually, reading back over this post I realized something, this is why I was getting burned out.
I was starting to get too wrapped up in my own competitiveness, and was forgetting to have fun. I started playing to have fun, and I need to remember to keep having it, even at tournaments where I have to face the same thing all day.
Wow, random mini-breakthrough...

Don't get overhyped on Brimaz. He's one of those neat cards that will never be played. Bladehold was playable because you were paying 4 mana for 7 power and THAT"S something. Nobody even casted two Heros as there was no need for that. One man army.
Brimaz is 4-power for 3 mana. Which basically means he's playable only in White Weenie.

Archetype of endurance looks like a commander star, archetype of courage however is nice for white weenie sideboard.

I'll bet you mucho dinero that Brimaz is at least worthy of GP / PT top 8 play and will be a card loved and loathed on the competitive scene going forward
Standard hobos who play budget garbage should be looked upon with suspicion.

White Weenie was cool with Theros up, but currently Black gets so many ways to screw small aggros that I heavily doubt WW being playable. I'd say it's even less resistant to hate than RDW.Brimaz is 4-power for 3 mana. Which basically means he's playable only in White Weenie.
Deal. At the start it'll be forced into everything but in half of the season people should already wake up with "this is not a good card" call.I'll bet you mucho dinero that Brimaz is at least worthy of GP / PT top 8 play and will be a card loved and loathed on the competitive scene going forward

Pain Seer + Herald makes me want to go Suicide Black.
redthirst is redthirst, fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse. He was the leader of the Fires of Salvation, the only clan I'm aware of to get modded off the forums so hard they made their own forums.
Degenerate? Sure. Loudmouth? You bet. Law abiding? No ****ing way.
Great guy to have around? Hell yes.

Is this rare where you're from?Encountered someone today on the way to work that enjoyed driving in both lanes at the same time. It's probably a good thing I don't have a gun in my truck.
I don't think you'd like driving in Boston.
Thanks to NerdBoyWonder for the amazing sig!
