Discussing GP Melbourne with Andy Cooperfaus. On writing an event report "red fraud james fazzolari brings you an article with no uintegrity"
Is he joking? He has to be joking.

It doesn't sound like a joke.
You missed the joke right?
Yeah I did. Cuz you're not playing Red?

Hey, we got a Searing Blaze type of card with one less damage to creature but no landfall necessary. Neat.

That was my first thought too. But it's a good card.

Not sure we can maindeck Seering Blood. No targets against certain decks and has to kill the creature to get the three to the face.

Searing Blood is an instant, yes? Attack/block, cast, kill, and damage. Sounds good to me.

It's not as good as Searing Blaze, as even in that meta, control decks ran a lot of creatures. Not so now.

Still, if you're sideboarding into a controlling role, it's a sweet card.

I have a feeling that girl from the taco commercial was in the room during development of Searing Blood.

Also I'm glad for once that a burn spell isn't literally just something or someone on fire. The guy is BLEEDING magma. That's just painful to even look at.

I think it's better than searing blaze in modern and legacy burn.
Since i assume they should be played only in sideboard (you can't afford to run them main deck and then face decks without creatures), searing blood is better because it doesn't require landfall. Unless you need to kill x/3 creatures, but legacy and modern are full of x/1 and x/2.

I'm going to have to try tribal minotaurs. Ragemonger makes kragma warcaller cost [mana]3[/mana]. And the aforementioned sorrow dodging is fantastic.

You do need to try to gay it up a little more.

You're like the least gay member of this clan.

And that's counting the fact that you voluntarily have sex with men.

It's a good card. Sideboard material for sure. Strict upgrade from Shock for those that sideboard that card. Maybe a one-of in the main depending on how the meta shapes up.

I just realized that I may not be able to go to SCG Atlanta because it is on the 1st of the month, which is my department audit. Fuck!
It's also held the same days as the born of the gods game day, so no mat or promos for us e.e

But yeah, I really really hope you can figure out a way to make it, man... Talk to the boss maybe?

Yeah, but if the format is slow enough it may be a wash. We'll have to see.

Also, yes, I thought of you as soon as Xenagos was spoiled. Between him and the three drop Gruul is looking very enticing.

How are you guys? I've just seen a bit of the new cards and looks like RG is really going powerful out of the gate. As for Searing Blood, would have been nice if the "dies this turn" condition wasn't there, then we'll get a less powerful but good in standard Searing Blaze. If the meta shifts to bigger creatures, it won't see play. It does keep Mutavault in check.

Also, turn 5 lethal Worldspine Wurm please.

I doubt he needs to play Wonderwall and grow a neckbeard to attract ladies on the sidewalk. Money is way more useful.
I can confirm that when I walk on the sidewalk, neither Wonderwall or neckbeard are necessary tools of seduction.
