So, although the hype train is fully in motion for this one, surely it will see some play in Esper Agro or WB humans. The problem however remains - if there is a 3/3 out there, what the hell do you do with this retarded 2/2?

A quick seach through magiccards.info came up with the following cards for "tap" in standard (other than the springleaf drum):-

Blue base - Ral Zarek, hidden strings (obviously); and
White base - Ephara's Warden and Devout invocation (7 mana sorcery lawl).

It surely isnt worth doubling down to add another card to get value from your one card. It could run in WB humans replacing precinct captain I suppose? Precinct captain has the same sort of drawbacks, blanked and then essentially useless.

What about some type of black suicide agro deck with tormented hero, pack rat, this, some removal, some pumps (are there even any good black pumps?)
Standard: No thanks. A game based on who can curve out the best doesnt really appeal to me.
Modern: Jund. dabbling on the side with esper mentor and grixis delver. I miss treasure cruise
Legacy: Not even I hate myself that much

Alright first off, if anybody who said that Kiora wasn't strong enough because she dies so easily to burn due to her low starting loyalty says they like this card, I reserve the right to punch you through the internet.

Second off, if the Inspired mechanic is really "whenever this becomes untapped", I reserve the right to punch Magic's R&D through the internet.
a short, one-act play inspired by my ire
Dr. Gillington: I didn't sleep well at all last night. That damn neighbor's dog again, we need to have a talk with him, honey.
Mrs. Gillington: Really, I slept very well. So well, in fact, I believe I will summon the power of the gods. Do we still have some of that incense around?
Dr. Gillington: Oh dear did you forget to take your meds again?
Mrs. Gillington: The gods demand sacrifice!
Dr. Gillington: [cries in pain] Aaaugh! My leg! What did you do to my leg!?
Mrs.
Gillington: Dabu u'in Kali ma! Batu ah Kali ma!
Dr. Gillington: [dying] You could have... at least... sacrificed that... damn dog... [dies]
Mrs. Gillington: I owe the power of my ascension all to a really good nap.
For actual card analysis though, I'm fairly interested in testing this out in a Junk Aggro build. Treating this guy like a tempo card instead of a card engine might provide dividends that otherwise wouldn't pay off. Turn 2 this turn 3 Unflinching Courage seems like a nightmare for your opponent to deal with.

To slow as black wants its card draw faster. Read the Bones digs more for known life loss. Underworld connections is harder to destroy, controled life loss, and contributes to devotion more. This is supper aggro deck material. I call it Blood Scriviner 2.0. Necromancer Deck material? Just not seeing it in teir one decks.

The return of Satanic Sligh?

The only problem with this card? Pack Rat also costs 2 mana.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

Pack Rat has no friends.
Standard hobos who play budget garbage should be looked upon with suspicion.

OP forgot Witches' Eye in the list of enablers. Plus it looks like they'll be printing a few Inspire enablers in the set, like they did for Heroic.

The nicest thing I have to say about this card is that it isn't the worst :stupid:
So far it is my favorite card spoiled so far. I also don't take milk with my cereal.
