Don't think its quite that drastic. I mean, being symmetrical makes it a little awkward when trying to interact with anything other than creatures.

His best ally is the golem token generated by hammer of purphoros, wich is an "artifact enchantment creature" token ( when i read that i collapsed).

Is your reasoning to not use him as a commander because A) super-douche is super-douchy or B) because you have a legit reason to suspect he wouldn't be a good commander? (or C) other?)

I think it is really too slow and not impactful enough in 1vs1, but in multiplayer it could be good, although making each opponent sacrifice permanents is the best way to make them hate you.
