Cause it's 1am and I haven't slept in entirely too long e.e
Yeah, that was stupid of me... So -4 cackler, -4 satyr, -3 shock, +3 reckoner, +3 mortars, +3 charm, +2 aot? I like the sound of that actually, would probably give me a good chance vs them o.o
And as far as mono-u, -8 1drops, +3 reckoners, +3 mortars, +1 rod, +1 etc is the standard idea, but it charm a good bring in here? I feel that either the extra reach or the indestructiblity would be so helpful in the ground wars these games turn into e.e and what 2 extra things would get pulled out for them? 2 shocks?

I recall when I first asked for SB'ing help on this forum (my very first post) I got flamed so hard I was incinerated .
Anyhow I wanted to point out if you don't have relevant targets for flames then shock is usually better (for its instance speed and cost) I'll be writing up a side boarding guide later, once I can sell my darn boosters...

Just about an hour ago, I was playing MDU's PyroDragon list against a junk GWB deck with loleth trolls, voice of resurgences, deathrite shamans, obzedat, sylvans with a whip. Preboard games, went 0-5 lol. All 5 hands I drew weren't very optimal, and the one time I was able to drop a dragon he hero's downfall'd it :C
pre-board, are our chances of winning somewhat low? I'm assuming it's because of my draws and how I played it though.

I've never been flamed here o.o I kinda find that hard to imagine... I honestly shouldn't ask for help as much as I do, but I tend to value other's input a large amount, and it helps me figure things out... That said I am barely above noob status e.e
Fair enough, lol. I like the idea of flames for the insane 2-for-1 or even 3-for-1 potential vs other aggro, but shock lets me still do other stuff on my turn to help stabilize my board position...
That matchup seems like you wanna be going removal-silly on them, jaemes...

I didn't say cut flames, I just meant against Naya Control - you should board out flames before shock (you for some odd reason kept both flames, but boarded out 3 shocks).
@ibejaemes, Junk is a bad MU, play them more and you'll get use to it - I think I have three replays sets against them in my archives which I won twice and lost once, you'll often just beat them because the manabase is so horrible.

3-1'd Tuesday night magic playing a mono-red Pyro dragons deck for +10$.
Obviously didn't have chains which would've been awesome but do have some takeaways:
2 flames mainboard where awesome and I think I want them going forward.
Stormbreath dragon is a hell of a card and I'm thinking I don't want to ever side them out accept MAYBE against mono-black on the draw.
Aggro matchup felt excellent. Being mono-colored exaggerates this aspect somewhat, but chains cleanly answering reckoner and scry-lands smoothing draws is a big game.
Lastly, I think 4 mutavaults might be excessive. 3 is probably enough, especially with esper wanning and MonoU and black rising. Mutavaults can be very good vs. mono-black, but I think you only really need to see one early and the second is very variable from amazing to awkward and terrible.

Did anyone consider [card]legion's initiative[/card] as a potential SB card?
It protects board from mass removal (also vs shrivel from mono black).
It makes our threats much better vs a lot of X/3s. What I always had problems with was against nightveil specter or caryatid. Legion's Initiative solves this problems and allows to get throught / trade.
also 2/1 tokens are much better than 1/1 tokens, especially vs jace. And 3/2 phoenixes are serious business.

@LP, of the Fires, nice stuff - I really do hope the name PyroDragons catches on.
@Pedros, It definitely requires testing, I still prefer Boros Charm because Shrivel and Golgari Charm only really see 1-2 max in the most 75s but I see its appeal.
@All, Guys if your looking for some quality Opp. and either have the skill or money to back yourself up, I suggest playing Standard Elimination now - The top grinders Rank 1-200 are now mass farming QPs to earn a place in player of the year.
Anyhow here is my current 75:
[deck=MDU's PyroDragons]Lands 23
11 Mountain
4 Mutavault
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Temple of Triumph
Creatures 18
4 Firedrinker Satyr
4 Rakdos Cackler
4 Chandra's Phoenix
4 Young Pyromancer
2 StormBreath Dragon
Instants 11
4 Lightning Strike
4 Magma Jet
3 Shock
Others 8
4 Chained to the Rocks
2 Chandra, Pyromaster
2 Flames of the Firebrand
Sideboard 15
3 Mizzium Mortars
3 Boros
Reckoner
3 Skullcrack
2 Boros Charm
2 Fanatic of Mogis
2 Last breath[/deck]
I only played one Standard Elim event today which I 3-0 here are the vids:
Standard Elimination G1: PyroDragon vs UW Control (Event 6380583)
Standard Elimination G2: PyroDragon vs Wr Weenies (Event 6380583)
Standard Elimination G3: Yuffie (Split)
If you want to see the SB plan, watch the videos any likes, subs and comments would REALLY help me out.

Also, Yes, boarded in 2 skullcracks in vs. WW tonight. Correct? Probably not. Sweet? Hell yeah.
At the end of the day, with flames of the firebrand and chained to the rocks in your deck, this matchup should be laughably easy.

I've only gotten Rod of Ruin on the board once, and I really liked it. In particular, I was able to use it 2 times to "top off" a Shock to take out my opps Nightveil Specter.@MDU
Abandoned Rod of Ruins? To slow vs mono U?

Wow so we cut Ash Zealot huh? Seems kinda crazy with all the burn in the deck... Went back a few pages n musta missed the reasoning
Also , I'm 100% on just merging the threads...I was posting on Big Boros past 24 hours and thought I was in PyroRed till I went back to the main page.
The differences are minute now.

I am finding the same thing, not sure if I am missing the lines of play for him but I'm finding the guaranteed 4 damage from Charm (and Helix) much more effective for closing out games@MDU
Abandoned Rod of Ruins? To slow vs mono U?
I found Fanatic to be sometimes mediacore compared to sth like Boror Charm. It is hard in this deck to amass more than 4 Devotion to red.

You have to deliberately download the regular client, I believe. I'm not sure it's even available to download in the US anymore, if that's where you are.
I'd love to get into MTGO since I only get to play paper Magic once a week, but I can't to hoard cards in both at the moment, so sadly Cockatrice it remains for me.

Card Choices:
Ash Zealot
I didn't cut Ash Zealot because she DIES TO REMOVAL, I cut her because in the MUs which matter she doesn't connect since the other side can produced better threats which outclass her much too fast.
Fanatic of Mogis
I have trouble understanding why you guys can't deal 3+ damage with Fanatic of Mogis then proceed to beat face with a 4/2 against Gx and Ux devotion when they hardly have any removals, I'll put it down to variances.
Rod of Ruin
Rod of Ruin is a very powerful tool in beating MoW.decks, but Last Breath is more flexible (it kills the entire deck walls included) the only
issue is making up for the life-gain. In this list however we have StormBreath Dragon, Boros Charm and Fanatic of Mogis now part of the MoW.deck hate package so it doesn't seem like such a hurdle anymore.
@LaZerburn, DEs are back on dec 11th? that is the best news I have ever heard.

I get paid for clicks, however comments, subs and likes attract more traffics which leads to more clicks .
Also in regards to Ash, you don't need her to combat control, vaults combined with strings of burns should be enough to cut the cake (in fact with no Ash you have more room for extra burns which I'll argue is better then Ash for that MU) .

I don't think I'd maindeck 4 chained; probably -1 chained; +1 shock; but now I'm being pedantic.
MDU PM me all your relevant links and ill see what I can do about getting them incorporated into my CFB stuff we should cross promote I thinks;)
