You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Beatdown is hard, though.

@ Raida - LD list/link please :)
Well, the initial idea came from me randomly seeing a demolish as I was messing around with stuff on my desk. Then I found this:

[deck]Land (23)
4x Encroaching Wastes
6x Forest
6x Mountain
4x Stomping Ground
3x Temple of Abandon
Instant (5)
2x Lightning Strike
3x Magma Jet
Artifact (2)
2x Gruul Keyrune
Planeswalker (3)
3x Xenagos, The Reveler
Sorcery (12)
4x Bramblecrush
4x Demolish
2x Frenzied Tilling
2x Mizzium Mortars
Creature (15)
4x Elvish Mystic
4x Ember Swallower
3x Stormbreath Dragon
4x Sylvan Caryatid
Sideboard (15)
2x Anger of the Gods
4x Peak Eruption
2x Pithing Needle
3x Plummet
4x Wasteland
Viper[/deck]
http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/50-fnm-s ... struction/

I think it's pretty dang refined, and the dude has some interesting results. I do think there's a bit of room for improvement, especially in the sideboard, but overall I definitely am intrigued by it. Seems like something that'd be amusing to use at fnm to dick around.

Nit picky note, standard, modern, legacy, and limited all have lands that make blue mana, shouldn't pauper be lonely sandbar to keep the trend.
I think that ended up being more of a coincidence. Casual has Gaea's Cradle, which is green, so yeah, I'm pretty sure the idea was to have the best/most used lands be the title.
I might be the only one, but I use lonely sandbar a lot, shamefully i've used it more than forgotten cave. What MUC deck doesn't want to be able to pitch excess lands to dig deeper. And the most common non-basic is see is terramorphic
expanse.

You do need to try to gay it up a little more.

You're like the least gay member of this clan.

And that's counting the fact that you voluntarily have sex with men.

You should try it in pauper MUC, it's great (if you aren't using any other etbt lands).

The amount of people who don't know that Chandra's Phoenix recurs with Chandra is astounding .

Just had a mono black control player tell me to "read my fucking cards" after i +1 chandra and brought back a phoenix...

I consider that to be an excellent oportunity to highlight how fucking stupid my opponent is to them:

Dear opponent,

Whenever an opponent is dealt damage by a red instant or sorcery spell you control or by a red planeswalker you control, return Chandra's Phoenix from your graveyard to your hand.

Chandra, Pyromaster deals 1 damage to target player and 1 damage to up to one target creature that player controls. That
creature can't block this turn.

Forever yours,
redthirst

Yeah. But not until March or May, I think. Some sealed GP. Actually, I'm gonna have to check the mothership for the exact date.

Go for the tournament. Stay for the hooker/coke/mead binge with redthirst.

Come to think of it, I actually hate sealed.

Maybe just do side events and trading maybe? Then hit the bars and see where that takes us.

I'm sure there'll be Drafts on the side.

Play a Draft, drink too much, play another, etc.

How was Catching Fire? I read the trilogy, so I'm expecting it to be pretty good.

However, I cannot wait until Wednesday so I can see Oldboy. I want to bring a hammer with me.

Wasn't really a fan of the Hunger Games books - the first one was pretty good, but the other two didn't do anything for me.

I mean, I know they were written for tweens and all, but the characters were incredibly 2 dimensional. The good guys were absolutely good and never had to make any kind of hard decisions and the bad guys were absolutely bad and you never felt like they were motivated by anything beyond simply being bad guys.

Catching Fire was pretty typical of middle-of-a-series books/movies...development of the overarching conflict, character development and so on. Obviously a must-
see if you're going to do the trilogy, but not a hard and fast must-see-right-now. That is to say, if you have better things to do with your movie monies, feel free to rent it right before the last movie comes out. I went so that my daughter wouldn't be the "only person in the whole 8th grade" going back to school today without having seen it...

But yeah, Atlanta has been hit with a lot of shit in the past, dunno if what we could bring to bear would drop it... Though I'm not sure if it's ever had any encounters with a viking or a sentient schlong...
