This is one of the very vew animes I have watched and is one of my faves. Is it good or bad that when I read the corruption report (especially the comments on the most recent one), the music from Gurren Lagann begins playing in my head?

Thanks.Alex did an awesome job with that:I'd be happy if someone could suggest a budget modern deck. Else, standard is where I belong.

Storm pre banning was pretty damn near budget friendly. Goblins is also.
I've been toying with some new lists for Control as well, I just haven't gotten them to the point that I want to post them. Specifically Izzet Faeries and Rock Tapout.

In that case, my list should keep you company for the time being. Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is the epitome of manliness from 2012, but since you enjoyed G Gundam, you should be able to handle it. Gun X Sword is a mecha series where I like most of the characters, and the mecha design is refreshing (Bare-My tastes as far as anime are pretty broad. I grew up watching G Gundam/Gundam Wing so I have a soft-spot for the big fucking robot genre, of course. Psychological thrillers are pretty up my alley, as is pretty much anything like that. I'm no stranger to Fighting Anime so long as it's not repetitive and/or poorly written(e.g. pretty much every episode of Bleach after the first dozen). And I'll even watch something comedy-centric on occasion.
footed robots with detailed toes? Oh yeah). Boogiepop Phantom is a series that treads on mysteries, though not the psychological thriller type.
For slice-of-life comedy, Mahoraba is quite likeable. You cannot go wrong with Azumanga either.

My first anime was Full Metal Panic (not to be confused with Full Metal Alchemist). I mostly watch movies since I don't have the time to invest into too many series outside of One Piece.

What is this Boss Sligh looking... Z, I thought you were above that ;P
But seriously, this looks almost exactly like the Boss Sigh deck I stomped at the IQ on sunday. It has some explosive starts, but just couldn't keep it up... -insert penis joke here-
Also, I'm sad nobody posted this gem:

Tried similar deck like that before. Either I'm not good with AIR strategy, or the shuffler was being mean with me by giving me 5 lands after the intial 2 lands. Unlike most decks, this one will be in pieces when you're drawing into more lands.[deck]

Description please?Katanagatari is an interesting and unique anime for anyone in the market.
I'm a big fan of anime, but my tastes are... Eclectic, to say the least...
My 3 favorite (in no order, don't make me choose) are Steins;Gate, Gurren Lagann, and K-On!
Which are three VERY different anime e.e
I, for one, would like to welcome our new firebreathing narwhal overlords.

I don't like the 1-of Lavamancer, but I understand why it's there. I would probably play a Sword or Spectral Flight instead, but aside from that it looks pretty standard. I enjoy Flight'ing Tarmogoyf quite a bit. I only played 3 Snapcasters when I played the deck but 4 is probably fine if there isn't another spell you want to squeeze in there.[deck]

Unlike some of the other posters here, I think Gitaxian Probe is better than Magma Jet. The thing about playing tempo is that with perfect information you can sometimes just win the game by playing around their plan. I won a lot of games playing Delver because my opponent kept a hand of removal against my Probe Land Delver Leak Leak Cantrip hands.
Pillar of Flame is pretty dorky and doesn't kill too many relevant things, you could probably play Forked Bolt or something instead since it's better against Affinity.
