I've been a great help.
Standard hobos who play budget garbage should be looked upon with suspicion.

It was difficult, but I finally accepted that there are people who play Dega and I would sometimes get matched up against them.

Oh, he meant how do you play against Dega... By questioning their card choices until they ragequit.

I realized this morning that promo Nightveil Specters were $10+ so I put mine up on eBay. Three hours later, SOLD! Did the same with my foil Temple of Silence, my set of Goryo's Vengeance I acquired for 90% off, and a couple of other staples I have no use for. Hopefully this brings me one step closer to my first fetchland!

Arid Mesa first, then probably Marsh Flats since it will fetch Plains in Modern and Swamp in Legacy (for my Storm and Reanimator deck).

Modern FNM tonight :(

[deck]
Creatures
4 Delver of Secrets
3 Grim Lavamancer
4 Snapcaster Mage
3 Vendillion Clique

Spells
4 Gitaxian Probe
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Mana Leak
2 Pillar of Flame
4 Remand
4 Serum Visions
2 Thoughtscour

[/B]Lands[/b]
4 Misty Rainforest
4 Mutavault
4 Scalding Tarn
3 Steam Vents
2 Sulfur Falls
4 Island
1 Mountain
[/deck]

Still thinking about the sideboard. As always, Tarmogoyf is a huge problem for UR. Maybe I need to get some Spell Snare into the deck, for catching important 2-drops on the draw?

Still figuring it all out. Sideboard will include:
2 Batterskull
2 Combust
4 Molten Rain
2 Shattering Spree

Probably more counter magic after that.

Kaze - my mug really is that big.

You might as well just have that basic mountain be stomping grounds and those shattering spree's become ancient grudges. Seems important to be able to kill affinities manlands.
You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.

Threads is a good call.

The issue right now is getting the exact mix of counter magic and removal correct. But that takes more time than I'm willing to put in haha.

Tell me about. I'm still trying to tweak my own list. I even started adding janky 1-ofs like Gut Shot, Noxious Revival, Mutagenic Growth, Dismember, and Runechanter's Pike for weirdness. I even threw in Young Peezy too lol

Magma Jets over probes. Probes are only really useful in combo decks in modern. Consider spellstutter sprites over lavamancers?

My buddy did something similar to that. He basically took a Faeries list and added some Burn, like Magma Jet, and made it work. It was my original inspiration to try U/R Delver.

4 Misty Rainforest
4 Scalding Tarn

Same here.

I like to stare those people down in the parking lot while downing my beer as I'm holding in my joint toke. When I exhale, I tell them to put their fucking hands in the air. They usually don't know what to make of that and quickly stop their rant about how awesome they are or how next time they're gonna dominate some 12-year old in a game of Magic that they just lost too.
