When players are saying things like "I would have killed X if I was scum", sure, that's usually WIFOM. However, when someone asks "are scum players more likely to play loose?", you need to apply Occam's Razor.

And actually, let me say what Starbuck was probably trying to say: scum players play very tight. they'll go back over every little post and make sure every little detail is relevant and nothing contradicts anything. If someone makes a townslip, let's say forgetting something about the setup or a role or something, you don't say "oh, he could be scum pretending to -" no. Occam's fucking Razor.

Yanni passed a test of mine recently, so I'm leaving him alone for the moment. Scummy vote/unvote for me, somewhat scummy vote for TubeHunter then for me, somewhat townie response to my questions. I'll be keeping my eye on him, but he's always an easy mislynch, so it's hard for me to call him scum with much confidence.

I'm inclined to use the vig on TH because Z was pressuring him hard before he killed him. TH is also the only player with a scum motivation that I can identify. Being suspicious of other posters isn't enough for me.

I figured as much. I actually like this gambit by you because it almost forced ham to take a stand on someone. Not sure if it clears him one way or the other, though. As scum I think he would have jumped at the idea of killing another townie toDay but it also probably would have sealed his lynch.
