Christmas is eggnog and fruitcake - both with copious amounts of rum.
redthirst is redthirst, fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse. He was the leader of the Fires of Salvation, the only clan I'm aware of to get modded off the forums so hard they made their own forums.
Degenerate? Sure. Loudmouth? You bet. Law abiding? No ****ing way.
Great guy to have around? Hell yes.
I love the D...

I just told her what I was thinking about. Mostly the part of me having no future. Not being able to respond with her dreams about having family one day. Becoming worse and worse. That there are so many differences in our approach to life that sooner or later we will just start to clash with each other. That I can't promise her that 10 years from now on, I will not be an painkiller-addicted junkie. That she deserves something better.
She understood everything. She knew about it. And then she cried. And we talked more. I wish I could cry, but I didn't. And now... hell, I don't know.
I'm an egoist. I always was, I am and I'll be. Why to actually once be at least a bit selfless I have to become the worst man in the world. Fuck.

But you don't have to be. Tomorrow's not guaranteed for anyone here. If you've got a shot at a relationship with someone who stands by you, who can bring happiness into your world, then take that chance. From what you've described, she stood by you through some of the worst times in your life. I think she knows what she's getting into.
Have you looked into your own motivations for pushing her away?

I was playing Melira Pod before it was cool. You know, when there was a Standard version of the deck that used Phyrexian Metamorph, Leonin Relic-Warder and Suture Priest.
Also Bramblesnap, Phyrexian Metamorph, Leonin Relic-Warder was a thing that I might have done against a few unsuspecting motherfuckers.
Edit: Since I know people will ask, here's how it works.
Have Bramblesnap or Suture Priest in play. Play Relic-Warder, you can fail to find a target if you want. Play Metamorph copying Relic-Warder, have it exile itself, causing it to flicker an indiscriminate number of times. You can use Bramblesnap's ability before each flicker happens, giving it +1/+1 before every flicker. Suture Priest gains you infinite life using the same principal. It was a bad combo, but that deck was still really fun.

K, played Boss sligh:
4 Foundry Street Denizen
4 Firedrinker Satyr
4 Rakdos Cackler
4 Lightning Strike
4 Akroan Crusader
4 Dragon Mantle
3 Arena Athlete
4 Ash Zealot
4 Legion Loyalist
4 Madcap Skills
4 Titan's Strength
17 Mountain
Sideboard:
4 Skullcrack
4 Peak Eruption
1 Coordinated Assault
1 Pithing Needle
1 Nivmagus Elemental
4 Shock
Was VERY surprised at how enjoyable the deck was to play. Buddy asked me what he thought of it, and I responded it seemed fine but gimmicky. It actually felt like standard affinity. Aside from devotion green, all the matchups felt fine, and very winnable and the decision trees where interesting. That, and I enjoy decks that only lose to flooding. If anyones poor and what's a deck to play, rummage through your draft leftovers, sleeve this up, and go to town.

You gotta understand, I love the beatdown. I really do. I always have.
Beatdown is hard, though.
