You know why this clan is the best? We can have a break for Bohemian Rhapsody and then still have old timers say "nice, but not as good as the other time we had a break for Bohemian Rhapsody"
This clan fuckin rocks.

@Khaos -- Clan motto:
Damnant quod non succendetur. They condemn that which they cannot burn.
Dude. All of my yes.
Thought you'd like it.
I want to print business cards for FoS and DiestoRemoval.com to hand out at the lgs. I'll use that as the motto.

Cogito ergo succenderunt means I think therefore I set it on fire.
Doesn't that translate to "I think, therefore they burned?"
Not according to google translate. I found a few other sources that basically confirm it. Succendo means to kindle, burn, or to set on fire.

So I've got a maybe a bit of downtime this weekend with the house being full of people (was supposed to be the wife and I's wedding reception, but my gram's funeral was 2 weeks ago :( ), thinking about working on card sleeves. Any ideas for putting in an 300+ order? Trying to come up with some good ideas for what to put on em that won't give our decks away lol

Matte black card sleeves, the white FoS font that you had created in the t-shirt thread, with diestoremoval.com underneath. Something tastefully understated would look best, even though no one would accuse of of being understated. Tasteful? Sometimes. Understated? Never.

Cogito means "I think," ergo means "therefore." So whatever the third word means, stick that on the end. It is definitely "I think, therefore x"

-erunt is a third-person plural perfect active indicative conjugation, so succenderunt means "they have burnt [actively - so they were not burnt by external force]." My dictionary says the verb can take a transitive object to imply real burning; without any object (intransitive) it comes off as a passive English translation (even if the original Latin is in the active voice). Something like "inflamed by passion."

Succendo is the first-person singular present active indicative, or "I burn [am inflamed]." This is the conjugation you'd use in "cogito ergo x," because cogito is also first-person singular present active indicative.

The gerundive participle (succendus, -undus) actually means "blushing," which is quite cute.
So high, so low, so many things to know.

Hey guys, I am trying to find info on the Pyromancer's Gauntlet deck. I don't have quite all of the cards needed (2 Chandra and 2 Mutavault), but I am close enough I can make it work. I want to read up on how to play it and I thought maybe someone knew exactly where it is.

EDIT: Found it.

Someone at WoTC must be related to Goblin Welder cause it looks as if we got an ashtray.

It is good for jund, but you are right, we need more mono-colored stuff.

Cogito ergo combustio bitches

EDIT: Just realized combustio is a noun and i'm bad gotta think of something else

EDIT2: Okay here's a better one: Cogito ergo ardeo

where ardeo simultaneously means burn, love, rage, be in a turmoil, AND (just for Alex) sparkle/glow

it's perfect

I've really liked [card]sek'kuar, deathkeeper[/card] and what jund deck doesn't want 3/1s for all it's dudes dying? Back when he was in standard, my tribal standard deck on mtgo curved into him and that worked pretty well, but honestly the bulk of the heavy lifting was done by rakdos guildmage.

You're like the least gay member of this clan.

And that's counting the fact that you voluntarily have sex with men.

I feel that cogitamus, ergo ardemus (we think, therefore we burn) is more fitting. Ardere has the implication that we are setting fire to something else and gives the message that "red is the thinking man's colour." We are playing burn because it is the smart thing to do.

I just want them to say "Fires of Salvation" in a nice font.

That way when I sit down to play there's always the possibility of this happening:

Opponent: "Oh, you're one of those FoS guys?" rolleyes
Me: "One of them? Bitch, I'M THEIR KING!"

You keep still because you think that maybe his visual acuity is based on movement like T-Rex - he'll lose you if you don't move. But no, not redthirst. You stare at him, and he just stares right back. And that's when the attack comes. Not from the front, but from the side...

"Whoosh!"

...from the penis that you didn't even know was there. Because redthirst's a pack hunter, you see, he uses coordinated attack patterns and he is out in force today. And he slashes at you with this...

[produces scale model dildo from his pocket]

A retractible penis, like a razor. He doesn't bother to bite your jugular like a lion, say... no no. He slashes at you here, or here... or maybe across the belly, spilling your intestines. The point is, you are alive when he starts to burn you. So you know, try to show a little respect.

The world has just changed so radically, and we're all running to catch up. I don't want to jump to any conclusions, but look... redthirt's cock and man, two species separated by 65 million years of evolution have just been suddenly thrown back into the mix together. How can we possibly have the slightest idea what to expect?
