The quantity of mono red in the top 16 is truly impressive. The only thing we haven't really talked about is Mortars main deck; several of them were playing 2. Doesn't seem like an awful decision, but having dead cards against a control deck can't feel good either.

Yeah I think his deck is way too tuned to beat aggro to win G1 in the finals.

hes got mistcutter hydra and ruric thar though, and plenty of mortars for blood baron.

I'd say G2 and G3 are up in the air

The red deck just won because it was able to cast 3 Reckoners over the course of the game with Gruul, and was able to land two Fanatics with at least one Reckoner on the field.
