Thanks, guys. Kat, my on again, off again girlfriend made both sigpics. She suggested getting an updated sigpic when I told her about the recruitment plan by posting on Sally more. I wanted to see what you guys thought of it first.Yeah, looks really nice. I still like the old one better. It has that nice old-school look to it.Khaos, who did your signature?
I honestly don't know which one I like better. The old one has a vintage vibe to it, but I love the colors and Chandra on this new one.
In a pinch, Khaos' beard can help turn this around.
I rarely skip a Khaospawn wall of text because I know there is always piss at the end of the rainbow.

I live in Northfield in central Vermont, with the closes shop that has any magic events on my days off is quarterstaff games in burlington. I don't get out of work in time to get to FNM's at the momentFor anyone on Cockatrice, what time do you usually log on to test? I live in Vermont in the U.S. to give a reference. I work as a line cook in the pub so im usually not out until after 11pm weds-sunday.
Where in VT do you live? What shop(s) do you play at? I'm a recently removed VTer.

I have a burning hatred for Quarterstaff, but that's for another time. I live in New Hampshire now, but I still play at a shop in St. Johnsbury called Dark Tower Gaming. It's a decent place to play. I'm not sure how far from Northfield St J is though. Anyways, I'm normally on Cockatrice or MODO in the evenings from around 7-10 every night since that's the only time I get for gaming anymore.I live in Northfield in central Vermont, with the closes shop that has any magic events on my daysFor anyone on Cockatrice, what time do you usually log on to test? Well, I open solid at my pre release, going a solid u/r aggro deck with several late game bombs.
Managed to get stuck on 3 lands for my first loss, and therefore was the one to get paired down to a 2/2 and couldn't draw in to top 8. I proceded to get stomped by mistcutter hydra with my 60% blue deck. Sigh.
Then played a 2hg in which me and my partner opened the worst pool I have ever seen for 2hg.
My rares
Purpjoros
Polis crusher x2
Master of waves
Ship breaker kraken
FOIL Ashen Rider
Melitis Charlitan
Ember swallower x2
Labyrinth Champion
R/g temple
Prophet of kruphix
Celestial archon
Reaper of the wilds
And something else idk

Well if variance does truly exist, my PTQ sealed pool will be outrageously good because my first two paper sealed event pools have been atrotious. So bad, in fact, that it's left a very bad taste in my mouth for Sealed as a format.

Not trying to be a dick: I'm guessing you guys are just bad at sealed. Every sealed pool I've seen for Thero's has been chock full of either awesome cards or awesome decks.
RE: 2-headed giant sealed. Would have played it and gone double black on seeded packs, but we found out it didn't start till 6 on a SUNDAY and I ain't trying to leave the LGS at 11 on a sunday.
Did play just the sealed at noon 1 though and finished second out of 40ish people with my RB deck going 4-0-1 with an unintentional draw. Triple lightning strike and a sideboard full of removal helps. The draw was with my friend who surprisingly chose the red seeded pack and then ended up playing 4 color simic control because he had all the fixing and tricks in u/g and then elpeth, purphoros, and other bombs in his other colors.
Initial impressions of the set are you want to be blue, green, or a heroic agro deck. The only color I don't like much is
black, but apparently the BW deck does work as another of my teammates played BW both sealeds and 3-1'd each. The heroic boros decks in particular are very fast while the blue decks get voyages end which is basically a timewalk in this format where people are spending all their mana to make one guy bigger.
Transitioning to standard, this is the deck I'm probably playing on Friday:
[deck]GW Flash
Creatures:
4 Experiment one
4 Voice of Resurgence
4 Fleecemane Lion
2 Scavenging Ooze
4 Witchstalker
4 Boon Satyr
Spells:
4 Advent of the Wurm
4 Unflinching Courage
4 Selesnya Charm
2 Ajani, Caller of Prides
Lands:
4 Temple Garden
4 Selesnya Guildgate
5 Plains
11 Forests
Sideboard:
Cards
[/deck]
Would love to play soldier of the pantheon. Probably can't fit it in

You haven't seen my pool. Not trying to be a dick: I'm guessing you guys are just bad at sealed. Every sealed pool I've seen for Thero's has been chock full of either awesome cards or awesome decks.
Though I conceed that being new to Sealed does not help, my pool had my promo Ember Swallower, Hammer of Purphoros, and two Mogis's Marauder. Those are the only cards I had that were even remotely "awesome." The rest was literally bears. No Lightning Strike. No Magma Jet. Two combat tricks among all colors. One Rage of Purphoros and one Hemlock for removal.
As posted earlier, I probably should have been in green simply because I had a lower curve of bears in those colors plus a couple of the flash +2/+2 creature
enchantments that could have given me a couple of extra combat tricks to work with. If you don't believe me, I will post my pool later tonight if I get the chance. I mean, it wasn't just absolutely unplayable but it was pretty bad. When you're forced to play two of the green 3/2 for three with the blue activated ability just to fill out your deck it doesn't exactly give you the feels.

I think 2 would be your limit. How many Mutavaults do you think you can play in a 22 land RDW with 4 Reckoners?

1-3. 1 gives you the most consistencty, 3 if you don't mind casting reckoner off curve. I've been playing 19 mountainst and 3 muta's though to be fair, my reckoners where in my board.
Also, bears are surprisingly good in sealed. This format was a LOT faster then I thought it was. Post your pool and I'll see if it was actually terrible or if you just built it wrong.
