Disclaimer: I haven't played the R/W list at all, and only played 5 games at FNM with Jeskai so take everything with a grain of salt (or a truck load) I like the look of the R/W list, I really do. It's great that the mana is better, and I love that it gets to play chained as that card is just crazy ...

Oracle of Bones
Well, could be fun to combo with Dig Through Time, get a 3/1 haste and draw two from your top 7? Seems like a good deal. I would worry about him casting something very insignificant a lot of times though.

I have also been considering the phoenix in various builds (mostly because i bought it last year and i really want it to be good). But if we are considering playing Ashcloud Phoenix, isn't flame-wreathed better or as good in all cases except against Downfall and Murderous Cut?

Question for you guys: How do you play the match against G devo? I have been trying to control them but beating a resolved Garruk is really an uphill battle. I would advise against adding blue to the deck. It makes us less consistent and Verdict can hurt us just as much as it can hurt our enemies. If you want to run a sweeper, look into using Anger of the Gods or Mizzium Mortars . That gives us some added protection against the swarm decks while keeping...

I love the Gryff in the SB. I read it as Skullcracks 5-6/7, and it does a good job of hosing other annoying ETB creatures while being a flying threat to boot. Not playing it MB though, too dead in some match-ups.

I'm with LP on the servant. Ramping is only fun when you have something to ramp into (I WILL be brewing a super casual UR brew with servant+Scuttling Doom Engine+Shrapnel Blast, but i almost guarantee it will be too janky to do anything :P ) Now as for the RDW discussion: What are you guys' thoughts...

I just don't see wasting a spell to turn a 2/2 into a 3/3 or 4/4. Casting on their turn isn't important since you want them blowing their pumps and protections on your turn. Everything else has far greater priority than him. I'm not even eager to hit it with an early chains if I know they have bigg...

Depends what he does with Jace. I'm going to guess that he goes +1 which seems to be the obvious choice for him here. In that case, even if you kill Jace, your army will still only swing for 1 (which must go on Jace to kill him) and you will be totally out of good cards in hand, which seems like a b...

I guess it's reasonable to say that Burn matches up well against Bx's plan, but the raw power of Bx decks makes it tough to beat them if we don't have the answer immediately, and their discard makes having that especially tough. Yes, Bx is very powerful and some games we just get steam rolled. Most...

Turn/Burn is such an underpowered card to splash for >_> . It would also allow us to play Keranos out of the board (taking the slot that assemble used to hold). He provides (almost) the same kind of inevitability and is indestructible. Could be good, could be terrible, I'm inclined to think the lat...

I like SBD if MBD gets less popular, it does look kind of silly against Desecration Demon though, and will just eat a doom blade and roll over. Often i found you don't need to cast it. Tunr alone on an attacking creature lets you block and kill with a 1/1 token from pyromancer. (Very satisfying way to kill Ghost Dad)

I ran some UR in the beginning og the format, it wasn't very good but i did get quite a few games with it. In my experience YP$ is the best card in the deck, he is so much value. Don't kill me for suggesting this (I'm just brainstorming), but how about changing the black splash for blue. It gives us turn/burn to handle Ghostdad,BBoV, SBD and active gods (though chained and Banishing light handles the last one as well). Further it would give us various options vs Hexproof. Æt...

Guttler's analysis seems solid, although from the limited experience i have with it, mono-U doesn't seem all that bad as long as you save the black removal for MoV, fliers and LBZ don't give a &%£@ about frostburn and with all the removal we have activating thassa seems hard for them to do.
