I think toil/trouble is better in decks that have a lower curve and are more aggressive, aka ours.
Really hurts to hit it with seer though...
Holy shit, yes. Would you have to pay life for CMC of six for Toil/Trouble? That would be terrible indeed.

The problem with Chimera is that it dies to pretty much everything our opponent plays with no way for us to get it back. We want our deck to be soft to removal spells.
Yeah, Spellheart Chimera's toughness of 3 is a problem. I'll leave it the way it is and test the hell out of it.

Maybe one. The nice thing about my wincons is that they are so cheap. I can play them for three mana and pass the turn to leave up mana for counterspells.
Death by a thousand paper cuts...

It is deceptively good. Against aggro it's flat-out unfair. Against midrange and control it requires a lot of thoughtful play and efficient use of counters and burn spells. It's a very rewarding deck to pilot. I intend to stream sometime this week and I'm either going to stream this deck or my RB d...

PS: Awe for the Guilds is actually Teleportal in the working version right now. What does the deck look like now? I'm taking this Izzet Blitz deck to FNM this week: [deck]Creatures (28) 4 Firedrinker Satyr 4 Rakdos Cackler 4 Ash Zealot 4 Gore-House Chainwalker 4 Frostburn Weird 4 Chandra's Phoenix ...

I appreciate you regurgitating your Ral Zarek argument for us plebeians.
Not sure how I should interpret that. I'm annoying, right?
It was meant as a clever compliment. I don't have access to the prior discussion, because I'm not in Fires of Salvation. Hmm, I should remedy this problem...

While I really do like the idea of RDW with counterspells backup, I think that you could go a bit lighter on devotion theme. For example - instead of Reckoner, I'd trust Chandra's Phoenix. It's far more aggresive card that's guaranteed to deal 2 damage. You get one devotion less but goddamnit, it's...

Just skip to the point where they restart, it gets better. 30 min, and hour in? Somewhere around there.
Yeah, I listened to the discussion on twitch. It was worth listening to, in spite of the technical difficulties. Thanks Z and the other guy. Who was the other guy?

Honestly, Dreadbore > Doom Blade currently.
Too many linchpin, black creatures in the meta?
e.g.
[cards]Desecration Demon
Obzedat, Ghost Council
Lifebane Zombie[/cards]

The deck doesn't look bad, but I think playing tap lands in an Aggro deck is going to regularly bite you in the ass - it's probably better than not having the right color mana, but it's still annoying and will probably lose you a few games. Is there a viable way to change this deck from an "ag...

B/R Aggro First Draft

This is my first attempt at creating a B/R Aggro deck for the new Standard. 1. Before I start testing, is the outline viable? 2. I'm unsure about Hellhole Flailer in the 3cmc slot. What other creatures to consider? 3. Any other overall suggestions? Thanks! B/R Aggro First Draft [deck]Creatures (26) ...
