Pretty low since that basically reads 1R - Sorcery - Shock.
Assuming you meant to make it like Searing Blaze, still pretty low since it is 2 damage and at sorcery speed. Only requiring one red doesn't help it much. Searing Blood and Draconic Roar only see marginal play right now.

http://www.magicspoiler.com/mtg-spoiler/avaricious-dragon/ 10/10 would play. And that's a Dragon. Seems a reasonable finisher in an aggro build. On a different note: How does one get the spark back? I have had no drive to play since my boss screwed me out of he Invitational and, since that is over,...

Already qualified for the PT. Why not get the bling?
I have never been so salty from winning a tournament. Took down a Legacy tourney at my LGS today. Won a LED. Guy who took second got two MM packs. Pulled Goyf and Cryptic. Not angry in any way, shape, or form but what are the odds?

You could just say "Fuck you" as you jam foil Lava Spikes, Rift Bolts, and Goblin Guides down their throats. There's nothing more elitist OR ironic than crushing people with your foil Burn deck. I am in absolute agreement. Sick of my burn deck? Fine, I will foil it out and beat you even h...
Rx Burn
8 Skullcrack effects is definitely overkill. I think 6 is sufficient if you are on the Atarka version.

If I were to drop the Regents and Ojutai, I would probably bring in 2 Brimaz, 2 Phoenix and the third Stance that I cut earlier. The Roars would go back to being Strikes, obviously. Having said that, my first impulse would be to bring back SBD, but I think he might simply die too often since I can't...

Dragons are indeed an all or nothing sort of thing. Phoenix was high on my list before Regent. Perhaps I will test with it. I will miss Draconic Roar though. Have you had any issues with your Phoenix surviving a Drifting Death on the other side of the board?

Do you feel that Ashcloud is better than Thunderbreak? Can you reliably cast Brimaz with 15-16 white sources? I had to distort my manabase in order to get him on the field.

I like it because it protects itself until I am ready to protect it myself. Stormbreaths just die to Stoke/Price these days. As for the rest of my list, still tweaking the Slash/Stance/Anticipate/Dig numbers.

I know I won't. Not with what people are charging. I do find it funny how Burn is the only major deck that didn't get a significant reprint though.

It is on magicspoiler, but not the official site. It has to be reprinted in BFZ then.

I will be on Jeskai until Mantis Rider rotates out or they reprint Lightning Bolt. Just didn't want my preferences coloring the question.

Welp, looks like no Invitational for me. Boss just told me he had to borrow money to make payroll so I have to save what I can. Not even going to bother making the 3-4 hour drives to the IQs this weekend to get more points.

Re: Rx Burn
Abzan, Burn, Affinity, and Twin will be the largest players. Expect a reasonable amount of Grixis and a small Amulet Bloom following.
Re: Rx Burn
An interesting idea if lifegain becomes a real problem but it might be too narrow for our purposes given the current meta.
Re: Rx Burn
If you hold priority and have 8 red mana available, yes.
I only play a single Rending Volley and it is specifically for the "cannot be countered" clause to fight Twin.

Re: Rx Burn
The last time Merfolk was played around here, my weapon of choice against them was Satyr Firedancer. With my current list, I would just bring in Revelry, Path, and maybe Rending Volley.
I highly suggest Lavaman over Fanatic. The extra control factor is just too important. Otherwise, go full on Zoo and add Kird Ape and Nacatl. I would probably bring in 2 Revelries against Grixis with my list. Pridemage is the better of the two but requiring both of our off colors is a definite downs...

I have found that I have been playing more reactive as of late. This could be because of the heavy Atarka Red presence in my meta and on MODO. Trying this loadout for IQs next week (found out that I am still a few points short of an Invitational invite). Creatures 1 Dragonlord Ojutai 4 Goblin Rabble...

I never found GW that bad. Anger just crushes them if you drop it early. I am very surprised that you didn't like Ojutai. Did it die when you attacked every time or something? It should have been a real player against GW, Mono Green, Bant, and Abzan at least. Would it have been better as Stormbreath?
The only matchup where I don't want Eidolon is Affinity. Against everyone else it is good at least on the play if not on the draw. I agree with Valdarith about Shard Volley. I won't run more than one myself. It would be too easy to draw multiple and Stone Rain yourself out of the game. That will giv...

It has always served me well. You will also have Negate post board. You can bluff protection pretty well. At worst it is a 5/4 hexproof flying blocker. If you don't like that, just take SBDs or Sarkhans. Then again I am also a sucker for Thunderbreaks but I am not warm on Seeker right now so the exc...

Something I need to work on that I forgot to include: I really need to work out a sideboard plan for the various Abzan strategies, especially aggro. I was pretty much winging it and it wasn't all that consistent. I really am indecisive on bringing in Negate to stop all the removal they have that Sta...
I wouldn't go below 6 looking for a Firewalker and, even then, I only slightly raise the required power of my opening seven to keep it. It isn't like Leyline against Manaless Dredge, they can beat it, even if it is difficult. I certainly bring in a few Revelries, but I don't think I bring in the ful...
